Annur taluk

Anaimalai taluk is a taluk in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, India. It was carved out of the Pollachi taluk in 2018. The taluk is spread over an area of 368.13 square kilometres (142.14 sq mi) and had a population of 1,72,164 according to the 2011 Census.

Perur is a legislative assembly constituency in Coimbatore district, that includes the city, Perur. Perur was reserved for scheduled caste from 1967 to 1977. Perur assembly constituency was part of Coimbatore Parliamentary constituency.

Perur Pateeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Perur, in western part of Coimbatore in state of Tamil Nadu in India. The temple was built by Karikala chola in 2nd century CE. The temple is located on the bank of the Noyyal River and has been patronized by poets like Arunagirinathar and Kachiappa Munivar. Lord Shiva, known as ‘Patteeswarar’, is the presiding deity of this temple together with his consort Parvati, who is known as ‘Pachainayaki’. The deity is believed to be ‘Swayambu Lingam’ (self-emerged). Various names for this temple have been used over the years, including, Kamadenupuri, pattipuri, Adhipuri, Daksha Kailasham, Thavasiddhapuram, Gnanapuram, Kalyanapuram, Pirava Neri Thalam, Pasupathipuram, and Melai Chidambaram.

The Theneeswarar Temple (Tamil: அருள்மிகு தேனீஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில்) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Vellalore, near Coimbatore city in Coimbatore District, western part of Tamil Nadu in state of southeastern India. The temple is also referred as Sri Sivakama Sundari Ambal Samedha Sri Theneeswarar Temple.

Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women is a college in Siddhapudur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded by Sevaratna Dr.R.Venkatesalu for women empowerment.
