Salford Priors railway station

Salford Priors is a rural, agricultural village and civil parish about four miles south-west of Alcester, Warwickshire, England. The population of the civil parish as taken at the 2011 census was 1,546. It is on the Warwickshire border with Worcestershire. The village is eight miles from the popular tourist town of Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and the River Avon runs near to it. Evesham lies seven miles to the south-west and is an important agricultural centre and soft fruit-growing area. The population of the Salford Priors ward – which includes the communities of Abbot's Salford, Dunnington, Iron Cross, Pitchill, Rushford and Mudwalls – was 1,492 at the 2001 census.

Broom is a village in the civil parish of Bidford-on-Avon in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England, about 1.7 miles (2.7 km) north-west of Bidford. The village lies in the north-west corner of the parish between the River Avon, which forms its western boundary, and the road from Bidford to Alcester. Broom formerly consisted of two hamlets known as King's Broom and Burnell's Broom. Burnell's Broom, the southern portion, was said to have been depopulated by Sir Rice Griffin of Broom Court during the reign of Elizabeth I. At the 2011 census Broom has a population of 550

Abbot's Salford is the name of a village in the English county of Warwickshire. It is found six miles south of Alcester, about the same distance from Evesham, very close to the Worcestershire border, and is within the parish of Salford Priors. The River Avon runs close by the eastern side of the village. As well as the hotel the modest modern attractions of the village seem to be Abbot's Salford Lake, which is an excellent fishing spot, and a caravan park.

Cleeve Prior is a village in the Vale of Evesham Worcestershire, England. It is situated five miles north-east of Evesham. There are many picturesque houses made from the local lias stone, including the Kings Arms public house and the 150-year-old school. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew, and has 6 bells which are rung for the parish service each Sunday.

Broom Junction was a railway station serving the village of Broom in Warwickshire, England. It was an interchange for both the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway and the Barnt Green to Ashchurch line. Although initially only an exchange station, it was opened to the public from 1880 and remained in service until 1963. Other than passengers changing trains, passenger traffic was low as the station was situated in a sparsely populated area. The line to Stratford was the first to close in 1960, followed by the Barnt Green line in 1962.

Bidford-on-Avon is a large village and civil parish in the English county of Warwickshire, very close to the border with Worcestershire. In the 2001 census it had a population of 4,830, increasing to 5,350 at the 2011 census, increasing again to 6,818 in the 2021 census.

Bidford Bridge crosses the Avon at Bidford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England. It is a scheduled monument and is Grade I listed. The bridge is wider than a typical packhorse bridge. It dates from the early 15th century but has been repaired many times; in the 16th century stone from Alcester's demolished priory was used. There are eight arches, with cutwaters on the upper side. In 1644, supporters of Charles I demolished the bridge to cover his retreat from Worcester to Oxford - this was repaired in 1650 by Quarter Sessions, for whom Bidford Bridge was a 'county bridge' under its control. The Heart of England Way walking route uses the bridge.

Wixford is a hamlet and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon District of Warwickshire, England, situated 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Alcester. The population at the 2011 census was 155. The area is largely agricultural with no large employers in the area, most residents commuting to larger towns nearby.

Bidford-on-Avon railway station was a railway station serving the village of Bidford-on-Avon in Warwickshire, England.

Wixford railway station was a railway station serving Wixford, a village in the English county of Warwickshire. Located on the edge of the village it was accessed by steps down from a bridge carrying the B4085 (Icknield Street). Opened 17 September 1866 the station was originally going to be a temporary one but was eventually made permanent by the Midland Railway. From the start the station was staffed from a small wooden hut which included the waiting room and toilet. As well as the hut there were lampposts for lighting and a bench. There was a single track siding which included a loading gauge, portable livestock ramp and a small goods shed. Aside from a short period in 1901 when the nearby River Arrow flooded and damaged the line, the station remained open through to 1950. Passenger and freight services ended on the same day that year, although the line was operational for several years afterwards before being closed in 1962 and lifted in 1965. The station site is still accessible and although the track bed is completely covered there are remains of the platform.

Harvington railway station was a station in Harvington, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened on 17 September 1866, train services were withdrawn in 1962 and a bus service provided until officially closed on 17 June 1963.
