Boezemmolen, Tijnje

Tijnje (West Frisian: De Tynje) is a village in the municipality of Opsterland in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,510 in January 2017.There are two windmills in the village, Boezemmolen and De Deelen. The latter is a tjasker.

Nij Beets (Dutch: Nieuw Beets) is a village in the municipality of Opsterland in the east of Friesland in the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,705 in January 2017.

Gersloot (West Frisian: Gersleat) is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. The village was first mentioned in 1281 as Gerslach and means tapered ditch. It used to have a church, but it was demolished in 1735, and only the bell tower remains. In 1840, it was home to 146 people. Before 1934, Gersloot was part of the Aengwirden municipality.

It had a population of around 275 in January 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1315 as Lukeswalde, and means the forest of Lucas (person). See also: Lucaswolde. Luxwoude developed as a peat excavation village. It was home to 137 people in 1840.

It had a population of around 58 in January 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1573 as Gonyehuisen, and means "settlement of the Goinga family". Goëngahuizen is an isolated farmers community. Some peat excavation had taken place in the south of Goëngahuizen. It has its own place name signs.

Aldeboarn (Dutch: Oldeboorn) is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1545 in January 2017. Aldeboarn has an iconic church tower.

The Protestant church of Oudega or Saint Agatha church is a religious building in Oudega, Netherlands, one of the many medieval churches in Friesland. The Romanesque church was built in the early 12th century out of tuffstone and has a tower from c. 1250. In the 14th century the church was lengthened with a straight closed choir. Most of the building is of tufa, but the Gothic former northern entrance is of brick. The monumental Pipe organ was built in 1875 by L. van Dam & Zn. from Leeuwarden and expanded by Bakker & Timmenga in 1922.The church is located on the Buorren 1 and was once a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Agnes but became a Protestant church after the Protestant reformation. It is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 33989 and is rated with a very high historical value.

De Wilgen (West Frisian: De Wylgen) is a small village in Smallingerland municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 651 in January 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1580 De Wilgen, and refers to the willow tree. In 1672, it was side of battle with the Prince-Bishop of Münster. The Dutch three soldiers who died are in an honorary grave.De Wilgen was home to 150 people in 1840. De Wilgen never had a church, but started to grow in the 1970s as a suburb of Drachten.
