Battletown is an unincorporated rural community in Meade County, Kentucky, United States. It is a small unincorporated community that lies a few miles northwest of Brandenburg on KY 228, at its intersection with Pine Ridge Road.

New Amsterdam is a town located in Washington Township, Harrison County, Indiana, United States, along the Ohio River. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 12. As of the 2020 Census, New Amsterdam was the smallest city, town, or Census Designated Place in the state of Indiana. River Forest was the smallest in 2010 when it had 22, but had risen to 26. New Amsterdam now officially became the smallest town in Indiana with the population being 12, down from 27 in 2010.

Washington Township is the smallest of twelve townships in Harrison County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 522 and it contained 237 housing units.

Mauckport is a town in Heth Township, Harrison County, Indiana, along the Ohio River. The population was 81 at the 2010 census.

Matthew E. Welsh Bridge is a two-lane, single-pier cantilever bridge on the Ohio River. The bridge connects Kentucky Route 313 and Indiana State Road 135, as well as the communities of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Mauckport, Indiana. It is 3,098 ft (944 m) long and was built at a cost of 5.5 million dollars, financed mainly by the State of Indiana. The truss portion of the bridge is continuous across two 725 ft (221 m) spans. Construction of the bridge began in August 1964 and the bridge was opened to traffic on November 19, 1966. The bridge was named after Matthew E. Welsh, the 41st governor of Indiana. Although 90% of the bridge is within the Commonwealth of Kentucky, it is owned and maintained by the State of Indiana.

Glidas is an unincorporated community in the Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana, United States. The community is concentrated around the intersection of Glidas Road SW and Hillcrest Drive, just off State Road 135 between Mauckport and Corydon. In earlier days, the community was an advance trading post for Mauckport where farm stores were collected for export on the Ohio River. A post office was established at Glidas in 1899, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1905.

Heth Township is one of twelve townships in Harrison County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,278 and it contained 573 housing units.

The Swan's Landing Archeological Site is an archaeological site from the Early Archaic period in Harrison County, Indiana, United States. Located along the Ohio River, it has been extensively damaged by modern activity, but it is still one of the most important sites for its time period in North America. It has been designated a historic site because of its archaeological value.

Meade County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 30,003. Its county seat is Brandenburg. The county was founded December 17, 1823, and named for Captain James M. Meade, who was killed in action at the Battle of River Raisin during the War of 1812. Meade County is part of the Elizabethtown-Fort Knox, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Louisville/Jefferson County-Elizabethtown-Madison, KY-IN Combined Statistical Area.

The Brandenburg Commercial District, on Main St. in Brandenburg, Kentucky, is a 3.5 acres (1.4 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The Jones-Willis House, at 321 Main St. in Brandenburg, Kentucky, was built around 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is a concrete block house built by and for the Jones family who operated a concrete plant located next to the house. It was deemed "architecturally significant as the best representation of a concrete dwelling in Brandenburg. The dwelling exhibits qualities of excellent workmanship and design."
