Warlick–Huffman Farm

Sharpe–Gentry Farm, also known as the John O. Sharpe Farm, is a historic farm and national historic district located near Propst Crossroads, Catawba County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 6 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. The house was built about 1903, and is a 1 1/2-story, Queen Anne style frame farmhouse. Also on the property are the contributing engine room (c. 1923), shed, granary, garage, and barn.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The school is part of the Catawba County Schools system. Foard has been designated a school of distinction by the state of North Carolina for academic progress. The school opened in 1953 and was named after Fred T. Foard, a medical doctor in the area.

Henry River Mill Village is a small textile village in Burke County, North Carolina. It is an unaltered, but now-decaying example of an early industrial environment in Burke County. Today, the remaining buildings of the Henry River Mill Village are traces of the industrial heritage of the county. Built as a planned community, the village was a self-contained complex with its own mill, dam, water and fire-protection systems, and company store. In later years, the village gained amenities such as walkways, terraced green spaces, and field stone retaining walls. Today, most of the village's original buildings remain sited along a small gorge of the Henry River, just west of Catawba County, North Carolina. The site is private property but can be driven through via Henry River Road. It is located a short distance from Interstate 40 via an exit near Hildebran. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The front section was added about 1840, and is a one-story frame cottage in a transitional Federal / Greek Revival style. The two sections are linked together by a center porch-like room added about 1925.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Also on the property are the contributing granary, frame barn (c. 1920), log barn, and smokehouse / wood shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

It drains 96.24 sq mi (249.3 km2) of area, receives about 51.2 in/year of precipitation, has a topographic wetness index of 325.14, and is about 64% forested.

Weidner Rock House is a historic home located near Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. It was built about 1799, and is a two-story, three-bay, stone dwelling, with a one-story frame wing. The house was moved to its present location and reconstructed in 1844.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
