Malvern Central Shopping Centre is a luxury regional shopping centre located in the Eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern, in Victoria, Australia. The centre, which opened in 1987 includes a food court, two anchor tenants and numerous specialty stores.

It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern, and opened on 7 May 1879.The station, like the suburb itself, was named after the Malvern Hill Estate. The housing lots within the estate were sold by barrister Charles Skinner in 1856, who named the estate after the Malvern Hills in Herefordshire, England.The station was rebuilt in 1914, as part of quadruplication and re-grading of the track between South Yarra and Caulfield. It is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.The former electrified goods sidings were removed in 1988.In 1993, major re-signalling works occurred between Toorak, Armadale, Malvern and Caulfield stations.

Malvern Town Hall is the former town hall of the municipality of Malvern in the state of Victoria, Australia. It is the seat of the local government area of the City of Stonnington. The Second Empire and Italianate style Victorian era building is located on the northeast corner of Glenferrie Road and High Street, in Malvern.

The City of Stonnington is a local government area located within the metropolitan area of Melbourne, Australia. It comprises the inner south-eastern suburbs, between 3 and 13 km (2 and 8 mi), from the Melbourne CBD. The city covers an area of 25.7 km2 (9.9 sq mi).Within twenty years of the settlement of Melbourne in 1835, the Prahran Municipality (later City of Prahran) was formed in 1855, followed by the Gardiner Road Board (later City of Malvern) in 1856.The late 19th century saw substantial residential and commercial development such that by 1891 Prahran had a population of almost 40,000 and Malvern 11,000. In 2015, the new Stonnington City Centre, opposite at 311 Glenferrie Road, was opened and the Malvern Town Hall reverted to its original name. The name Stonnington comes from Stonington mansion, the Charles D'Ebro-designed mansion built in 1890 for a founding partner of Cobb & Co, John Wagner, who named the house after his wife's birthplace in Stonington, Connecticut, USA. The house is located in Glenferrie Road, Malvern.The City of Stonnington had a population of 116,207 in June 2018.The City of Stonnington is the richest local government area in Victoria.

De La Salle College is a Catholic private school for boys in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern. The college was founded in 1912 by the De La Salle Brothers, a religious order based on the teachings of Jean-Baptiste de la Salle, and is a member of the Associated Catholic Colleges. The college consists of three campuses (Tiverton, Holy Eucharist and Kinnoull) located in Malvern and Malvern East. De La Salle's sister school is Star of the Sea College.

Armadale recorded a population of 9,368 at the 2021 census.The suburb has its own railway station, as well as Toorak railway station, which is also in Armadale. It is bordered by Glenferrie Road to the east, Orrong Road to the west, Malvern Road to the north and Dandenong Road/Princes Highway to the south.

Balaclava Junction is the only extant grand union in Australia. Located at the intersection of Balaclava Road and Hawthorn Road, Caulfield North on the Melbourne tram network, trams can go in all directions from all directions.It is the only surviving example of a grand union in the southern hemisphere. Adelaide previously had three grand unions, but none exist today.Balaclava Junction dates from November 1913, originally being built by the Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust, at the time it was the most complex junction on the network. It has been rebuilt a number of times since opening, most recently in 2005 by Yarra Trams.Tram routes 3/3a, 16, and 64 all travel through Balaclava Junction.

Caulfield North is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 11 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Glen Eira local government area. Caulfield North recorded a population of 16,903 at the 2021 census.It is bounded by Orrong Road in the west, Glen Eira Road in the south, Dandenong Road in the north and Kambrook Road in the east. The suburb contains Caulfield Park – a park of approximately 26 hectares in size, bounded by Balaclava Road, Inkerman Road, Hawthorn Road and Park Crescent. Caulfield North has an unusually large Jewish population: 8619, representing 41.1% of its population, according to the 2016 census data. Lauriston Girls' School is an independent, non-denominational, day school for girls, located in Armadale, an inner south-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school follows the motto; Sancte, Sapienter, Strenue. This motto is Latin for Holiness, Wisdom, Strength. Established in 1901, Lauriston has a non-selective enrolment policy and is co-educational for three-year-old and four-year-old Kindergarten, and girls-only from Prep through to Year 12. The school currently caters for approximately 1040 students and offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and is also one of the few Victorian schools that offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) for the Year 11/12 students.
