The most infamous day in Rassat history was The Great Raccoon War of 6\19\93. The war consisted of three men with .22 Long Rifles who tried fighting off the raccoon infestation near Wolf Creek, but failed to do so. This means the only war that was fought in Rassat was a loss. Rassat is located within Chatham Township and Marysville Township. Nearby places include Maple Lake, Buffalo, and Waverly.

The Cokato Temperance Hall is a historic clubhouse built in 1896 in Cokato Township, Minnesota, United States, to serve as an alcohol-free social center in a rural Finnish American community. It was constructed by a local temperance society at a rural crossroads which became known as Temperance Corner. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places under its full Finnish name Cokaton P.R.S. Onnen Toivo Raittiusseura in 1976 for its local significance in the themes of European ethnic heritage and social history. It was nominated for its association with the temperance movement and importance to the cultural life of an immigrant community. The hall is now maintained by the Cokato Finnish American Historical Society, which has moved other historical structures nearby to form the Finnish Pioneer Park.

Built in 1868, it is believed to be the state's and probably the nation's oldest surviving savusauna (smoke sauna). Moved on several occasions throughout its history, the sauna now stands with other historical Finnish American structures in a rural park.

St. Mark's Episcopal Chapel is a small Gothic Revival chapel in Corinna Township, Minnesota, United States, built in 1871. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and religion. It was nominated as a well-preserved example of a board and batten Gothic Revival parish church.
