Gateside is a hamlet in the county of Angus, Scotland. It lies 7 miles south of Forfar on the A90 road.

Kinnettles Castle is a mid-19th century period castle located in Forfar, Angus, Scotland. Set on 44 acres, the Scottish Baronial castle is now a hotel.

Kinnettles is a civil parish in Angus, a council area in the northeast of Scotland. The Parish is bounded on the north and east by Forfar, on the southeast and south by Inverarity and the southwest and northwest by Glamis. The centre of the Parish is dominated by the oblong Brigton Hill (164m) whose steepest slopes descend to the Kerbet Water. The Kerbet valley is well wooded and contains two small hamlets, Kirkton and Douglastown. The only other sizeable group of dwellings is at Ingliston on the flatter area to the northwest of the A94 Forfar to Glamis road. The northern boundary is the "Great Drain", now known as the Dean Water. Strathmore Estates constructed this, from Forfar Loch to the Kerbet, in the 18th century and thus helped to drain this previously boggy area. In addition it provided a transportation route for marl from the Loch to the Estate. The parish church dates from 1811 and was by Dundee architect Samuel Bell.There are three local estates: Brigton, Invereighty, and Kinnettles House. The latest iteration of the mansion at Kinnettles House, built in 1864 by merchant James Paterson, has served as home for such people as Member of Parliament (MP) Sir Harry Hope and Wing Commander Dudley Lloyd-Evans.

Gallowfauld is a hamlet in the county of Angus, Scotland. It lies 3.8 miles (6.1 km) south of Inverarity, Angus, Scotland.

Inverarity is a village in Angus, Scotland, UK, on the A90, 6 miles from Forfar, and 7 miles from Dundee. The nearest villages are Gateside, Invereighty, Kincaldrum and Gallowfauld. Inverarity used to be in the old county of Forfarshire. Its name means "creek of Arity". Inverarity's first parish church dates from 1243; a replacement was built in 1754.

Douglastown is a hamlet in Kinnettles in Angus, Scotland, three miles south-west of Forfar. It takes its name from the landowner who in about 1789 provided land for James Ivory & Co. (in which Mr Douglas was a partner) to build a flax mill to spin yarn for heavy linen cloth called osnabruks (named from the German town of Osnabruk, where it was originally made. The hamlet of Douglastown was built to house the workers. The mill closed in 1834. It used flax-spinning technology invented by John Kendrew and Thomas Porthouse of Darlington, patented in 1787.

Loch of Forfar is a freshwater loch lying on the western side of the town of Forfar, Scotland. The loch trends in an east to west direction and is approximately 1 mi (1.6 km) in length. The loch and area around it form Forfar Loch Country Park. On the northern side of the loch there is a natural gravel projection which is named Queen Margaret's Inch or Saint Margaret's Inch. The projection was named after Queen Margaret, the 11th century Queen of Scots. Several historical structures have been located on the Inch including a crannog and a chapel.

Lochside Park is a cricket ground in Forfar, Scotland. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1984 when Scotland B played Durham University. The ground held its first List A match when Scotland played Lancashire in the 1991 Benson & Hedges Cup. Five further List A matches were played there, all involving Scotland in the Benson & Hedges Cup. The last match of that type to be held there came in the 1998 Benson & Hedges Cup when Derbyshire were the visitors.The ground is still in use today by Strathmore County Cricket Club.

Forfar West End Football Club are a Scottish junior football club based in Forfar, Angus. Their home ground is Strathmore Park. Up until the end of the 2005–06 season, they played in the Tayside Premier League of the Scottish Junior Football Association's East Region. They had previously finished as champions of the previous Tayside Junior Football League system once, in 1991. The SJFA restructured prior to the 2006–07 season, and West End found themselves in the 12-team East Region, North Division. They won the championship in their first season in the division and were promoted to the Premier League. In the 2007–08 season they finished as Runners up in the East Premier League giving them promotion to the Super League, but were relegated again the following season. After the loss of several players and management staff, the club failed to raise a team on two occasions at the start of the 2011–12 season. At an East Region meeting on 18 October 2011, it was announced that the club were going into abeyance and would withdraw from all competitive fixtures for the remainder of the season.West End returned the following season in the East Region North Division and worked their way back up to the East Super League in 2017–18 after two promotions in five seasons.

Kirriemuir Junction railway station served the burgh of Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland from 1855 to 1864 on the Scottish Midland Junction Railway.

The Kirriemuir Sculptured Stones are a series of Class II and III Pictish stones found in Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland. Their existence points to Kirriemuir being an important ecclesiastical centre in the late first millennium AD.

The Dunnichen Stone is a class I Pictish symbol stone that was discovered in 1811 at Dunnichen, Angus. It probably dates to the 7th century AD.
