Crosby was a small hamlet in Lincolnshire which has grown into a suburb in the north of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. Remnants of the old hamlet can be found in Old Crosby.The Anglican Parish Church is St George's Church, Crosby. Located on the corner of Digby Street and Frodingham Road, it was designed by the architect H.C. Corlette. Construction of the church began in 1924 and the building was consecrated in 1926. Its former clergy includes (John Harvard) Christopher Laurence who was Archdeacon Of Lindsey from 1985 to 1994.The Crosby Angel War Memorial is located on the corner of Frodingham Road and Sheffield Street West in the grounds of the former Crosby Primary School. It is inscribed with the names of 60 men from the area who died in World War One.The actress Liz Smith was born in Crosby in 1921.

The ground's record attendance was set at 9,077 for a Football League Cup Third round tie against Manchester United on 22 September 2010. The Baitus Salaam (English: House of Peace) is a mosque in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England and is the first purpose-built mosque of its kind to be built in the town. It was inaugurated on June 17, 2023 and can accommodate 250 worshippers, and built with a library and a community hall.

Atkinsons Warren is a large area of woodland in northwest Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, England. It is a Local Nature Reserve, and includes a meadow grazed by rabbits, rough grassland, developing scrub, and birch and oak woodland. It also features tree carvings. The Warren can be publicly accessed on foot or by car, and is used for walking dogs and riding bicycles.The name comes from Walter Atkinson, gamekeeper for the Sheffield family of Normanby Hall. Atkinson lived in the south shooting lodge of the Warren from 1905 to 1966. The ruins of Atkinson's home remain in the reserve to this day on a popular path for dogwalkers.Over 33 Hectares of the Warren was declared a nature reserve on 28 July 2004, though a small error in draughting led to 0.08 Hectares being removed in 2008.
