Glanford Park is a football stadium in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England, and is the current home of National League North team Scunthorpe United. Opened in 1988 at a construction cost of £2.5 million, it was the first new purpose-built Football League stadium to be built in England for 33 years, since Southend United moved to Roots Hall in 1955. The stadium is Scunthorpe's second ground, with the Iron having previously played at the Old Show Ground from 1899 to 1988. The ground's record attendance was set at 9,077 for a Football League Cup Third round tie against Manchester United on 22 September 2010. Between 2019 and 2022, the stadium was renamed the "Sands Venue Stadium" as part of a sponsorship deal.

Crosby was a small hamlet in Lincolnshire which has grown into a suburb in the north of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. Remnants of the old hamlet can be found in Old Crosby.The Anglican Parish Church is St George's Church, Crosby. Located on the corner of Digby Street and Frodingham Road, it was designed by the architect H.C. Corlette. Construction of the church began in 1924 and the building was consecrated in 1926. Its former clergy includes (John Harvard) Christopher Laurence who was Archdeacon Of Lindsey from 1985 to 1994.The Crosby Angel War Memorial is located on the corner of Frodingham Road and Sheffield Street West in the grounds of the former Crosby Primary School. It is inscribed with the names of 60 men from the area who died in World War One.The actress Liz Smith was born in Crosby in 1921.

In the 2001 Census, Bottesford's population was recorded as 11,171, falling to 11,038 at the 2011 census. The town is directly south of Scunthorpe, west of Brigg and north of Gainsborough and Kirton in Lindsey.

Melior Community Academy is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, England. The school is sponsored by the School Partnership Trust Academies (SPTA). The school started as Thomas Sumpter School, before amalgamating with South Leys Business & Enterprise College in September 2007 to form Melior Community College. In 2011 the school was rebuilt as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme. The school was called Melior Community College until January 2013. The school converted to academy status in January 2013 and was renamed Melior Community Academy.

Scunthorpe General Hospital is the main hospital for North Lincolnshire. It is situated on Church Lane in the west of Scunthorpe, off Kingsway (the A18), and north of the railway. Until the 1970s, it was known as Scunthorpe and District War Memorial Hospital. A & E is at the far north of the site on Cliff Gardens, accessed via Highfield Avenue, off Doncaster Road (the A1029). As well as North Lincolnshire, it also serves Gainsborough and Goole. It is managed by Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
