The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Memorial Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution (阪神・淡路大震災記念 人と防災未来センター) is the earthquake disaster memorial museum that located in Chūō-ku, Kobe (HAT Kobe), Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan. It collects and preserves materials related to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and subsequent reconstruction.

The Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) is an intergovernmental network that promotes policy-oriented research and capacity-building activities related to global change in the region. APN receives financial contribution from the governments of the United States, Japan, Republic of Korea and New Zealand, with in-kind contribution from all it 22 member countries. Bōeki Center Station (貿易センター駅, Bōeki-Sentā-eki) is a railway station in Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the Port Liner in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Japan. Bōeki literally means trade in English. It is the only other station other than Sannomiya and Port Terminal to be on Honshu (Japan's main Island).

The Kobe Regatta & Athletic Club is Japan's oldest sports club, founded 24 September 1870 by Alexander Cameron Sim. The club moved to a newly manufactured building at the end of 1870 and held its first regatta on 24 December, of that same year. The club and its members introduced football, field hockey, cricket, rugby, the crawl (swimming) and ten-pin bowling to Japan Football was introduced in to the club in 1888 and the first official football match in Japan was held on 18 February 1888 between the KR&AC and its Yokohama counterpart, the Yokohama Country & Athletic Club.

The WHO Centre for Health Development (WKC) is an intergovernmental agency forming part of the World Health Organization of the United Nations, as one of the centres in the WHO Health Systems and Innovation Cluster. The main office is located in Kobe, Japan. It is commonly known as the WHO Kobe Centre, which is the origin of its acronym, WKC. The initial proposal to establish a centre in Kobe City was made to the World Health Organization (WHO) by the Governor of Hyogo Prefecture and the Mayor of Kobe City in December 1990, as a contribution to international health work.Its role is to nurture, support and sustain excellence and innovation in public health research on health in development. It describes its vision as "Innovations for sustainable universal health coverage".A joint statement issued by a recent ASEAN-Japan Health Ministers Meeting on Universal Health Coverage And Population Ageing held in July 2017 in Tokyo noted that WHO Kobe Centre plays the central role in promoting joint research and knowledge management on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in ASEAN Member States and Japan.

The Hyōgo Prefectural Museum of Art (兵庫県立美術館, Hyōgo Kenritsu Bijutsukan) is a purpose built municipal art gallery in Nada-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It was opened in 2002. The major collections of the museum are foreign and Japanese sculptures, foreign and Japanese prints, Western-style and Japanese-style paintings associated with Hyogo Prefecture, Japanese greatworks in modern era, and contemporary art. The museum has rooms dedicated to Ryōhei Koiso and Kanayama Heizō, two significant Japanese modernist artists trained in the European tradition. The museum building was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, whose Tadao Ando Architectural Institute undertook the design and construction costs, after which the building was donated to the prefecture.

Port Terminal Station (ポートターミナル駅, Pōto Tāminaru Eki) is a railway station operated by Kobe New Transit in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Japan. It is on the Port Island Line. The station serves the passenger terminal of the Port of Kobe, which is used by international ferry lines and cruise ships.

Chūō (中央区, Chūō-ku) is one of 9 wards of Kobe, Japan. It has an area of 28.46 km2, and a population of 127,602 with 74,814 households as of January 31, 2012. The ward was formed from the 1980 merger of the former Fukiai-ku (葺合区) and Ikuta-ku (生田区). The Consulate-General of Panama in Kobe is located on the eighth floor of the Moriyama Building in Chūō-ku. Also in the ward are the headquarters of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Sysmex Corporation, a global medical devices manufacturing company and TOA Corporation, an electronics company.

Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae Station (三宮・花時計前駅, Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae-eki, Station K01) is one of the termini on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. This station is part of a complex shared with Sannomiya, which is used by the Seishin-Yamate Line, the Hanshin Main Line, and the Port Liner. Free transfers are available from the Kaigan Line station to the Seishin-Yamate Line station, but passengers are limited to 90 minutes to change trains when using regular tickets and IC cards.
