Goregaon ([ɡoːɾeɡaːʋ]) is a suburb of Mumbai city, in the Mumbai Suburban district of India. It has a railway station on the Mumbai suburban railway on the Western Line. An extension of the Harbour Line was completed in 2018 because of which it has regular trains to CSMT on the Harbour line. This is in addition to existing trains to Churchgate on the Western Line. Owing to the rapid urbanization (mainly due to construction of metro lines) and growing population of metropolitan Mumbai, Goregaon, which was once merely a hilly forest region is now a crowded suburb of Mumbai. Mumbai Local Trains originate and terminate at Goregaon. Platforms 1 and 2 operate slow trains towards Churchgate and CSMT whereas Platform 7 operates fast trains towards Churchgate only.

The Jogeshwari Caves are some of the earliest Buddhist cave temples sculptures located in the Mumbai suburb of Jogeshwari, India. The caves date back to 520 to 550 CE. These caves belongs to the Hindu daity Jogeshwari. According to historian and scholar Walter Spink, Jogeshwari is the earliest major cave temple in India and (in terms of total length) "the largest".The caves are located off the Western Express Highway, and are surrounded by encroachments. The caves are accessed through a long flight of stairs into the main hall of this cavernous space. It has many pillars and a Lingam at the end. Idols of Dattatreya, Hanuman, and Ganesh line the walls. There are also relics of two doormen. The cave also has a murti and footprints of goddess Jogeshwari (Yogeshwari), whom the area is named after. The goddess is considered a Kuladevi by some Marathi people, and also worshipped by some migrant groups from Gujarat.

Road, the studio has seven shooting floors, and a temple and garden for outdoor locations. Patkar College's reputation has increased due to this studio. It previously operated as a film production company as well.

Ismail Yusuf College, is the fourth oldest college of Mumbai, India. "I Y college", as it is popularly known, is managed by Government of Maharashtra. It is the oldest college in North Mumbai. It was established in 1930 with a large donation from Sir Mohammed Yusuf Ismail, K.T. on Jogeshwari Hill. The foundation stone was laid by Sir Leslie Orme Wilson, Governor of Bombay in 1924.

It was founded as the Indian Film Directors' Association (IFDA) in 1960, before adopting today's name in 2007 and welcoming television directors into the guild. Abbas, Madhusudan, Basu Bhattacharya, Ramesh Saigal, Mahesh Kaul, and Mohan Segal.Before IFDA was founded, it was known as the Assistant Directors' Association, and the decision to begin including directors led to its founding in 1960.In 1969 IFDA began taking a stance against imports of foreign films, supporting a tax that would encourage films with smaller budgets and higher quality. In 1978, IFDA campaigned for more movie theatres to be built, working with state governments and National Film Development Corporation of India to open 100 new theatres.IFTDA faced an identity crisis in 2010 when around 500 members quit in protest due to "lack of vision". In February 2019, IFTDA called for a hiring ban on all Pakistan artists working in Bollywood in response to the 2019 Pulwama attack and the subsequent remarks from Navjot Singh Sidhu.
