Lokeren railway station (Dutch: Station Lokeren, French: Gare de Lokeren) is a railway station in Lokeren, East Flanders, Belgium. The station opened on 9 August 1847 and is located on railway lines 57 and 59. The train services are operated by the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB).

The Lokerse Feesten (English: Lokeren Feasts) is a music festival organized annually in Lokeren, Belgium.

Sterrebeek Castle was a moated castle in Lokeren, of which have survived only a few remains incorporated in a 19th-century building. The castle once belonged to the de Cortewille family, and was situated between the Oude Vismijn and Lokeren's Markt.In the 19th century, what remained of the castle was integrated into a building housing a glass warehouse. Traces of the former castle can be seen in the said building's eastern facade, in the remaining arched door (korfboogdeur) and sandstone corner stone. The remains of the castle can be accessed through a small alley.The building in which the remains were integrated is a broad, brick three-story structure, with round arched windows and saddle roof.

The Sint-Lodewijkscollege is a Catholic high school (subsidized free school) in the centre of Lokeren, Belgium.

The city, located on the river Durme, the Lede, and the E17 motorway, has more than 42,100 inhabitants who are called Lokeraars or Rapenfretters. Because Lokeren is located on the Durme, Lokeren is often called "The Durme City". Horse sausages are officially recognized as a regional product.

Klein-Sinaai is a village near the Dutch border in the Belgian municipality of Stekene in the province of East Flanders. Until 1977 it was a part of the municipality of Sinaai.In Klein-Sinaai are the remains of Abbey of Boudelo (also known as Boudeloo Abbey), formerly a monastery of the Cistercians. The abbey was founded in 1197 when Baldwin of Boucle, a monk from St. Peter's Abbey in Ghent, settled in Klein-Sinaai as a hermit. In the early 13th century the abbey was recognised by the Bishop of Doornik. In 1578 the abbey was destroyed by Calvinists from Ghent, but was rebuilt a few years later, within the walls of Ghent itself.The museum of cultural history in Sint-Niklaas exhibits several archaeological finds from Boudelo Abbey. In 1877, a railway station opened on the Sint-Gillis-Waas to Zelzate railway. The line closed for passengers in 1952 and the track was removed in 1974.

Zele (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzeːlə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, around 20 kilometers east of Ghent. The municipality only comprises the town of Zele proper. In 2023, Zele had a total population of 21,374. The total area is 33 km2 which gives a population density of 641.6 people per km2.

Moerbeke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmuːrbeːkə]) is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders. It is sometimes unofficially called Moerbeke-Waas (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌmuːrbeːkə ˈʋaːs]) to distinguish between this place and Moerbeke in Geraardsbergen. The municipality comprises the town of Moerbeke proper, and part of the Dutch-Belgian village Koewacht. In 2021, Moerbeke had a total population of 6,619. The total area is 37.80 km².Moerbeke was known very well for its sugar refinery. It is thought to have been the hometown of William of Moerbeke, who as Bishop of Corinth produced a new translation into Latin of the works of Aristotle, including certain which had been rediscovered from Arab sources, in the late 13th century. Unique is the political situation: since 1847 the liberal party has an absolute majority. The current mayor is Robby De Caluwé. The previous mayor was Filip Marin. Donkmeer (meer is 'lake' in Dutch) is a lake in Belgium. It is situated in East Flanders in the municipality of Berlare. There are boats and waterbikes for hire. At the north end a fountain is in the lake.

The Moerbeke Sugar Factory was a beet sugar factory in Moerbeke, Belgium. The factory was last part of Iscal Sugar, a competitor of Raffinerie Tirlemontoise. In 2008, the factory was shut down and later completely demolished.

The Arrondissement of Dendermonde (Dutch: Arrondissement Dendermonde; French: Arrondissement de Termonde) is one of the six administrative arrondissements in the Province of East Flanders, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Dendermonde also comprises the municipalities of the Arrondissements of Aalst (except the municipalities of Geraardsbergen, Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Houtem and Zottegem) and Sint-Niklaas.

Berlare (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛrlaːrə] ) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Berlare proper, Overmere and Uitbergen, as well as the village Donk. The Donkmeer, a large lake and a regional tourist attraction, is located centrally in the municipality. In 2021, Berlare had a total population of 15,222.
