Donkmeer

Berlare (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛrlaːrə] ) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Berlare proper, Overmere and Uitbergen, as well as the village Donk. The Donkmeer, a large lake and a regional tourist attraction, is located centrally in the municipality. In 2021, Berlare had a total population of 15,222.

The Molenbeek (English: Millbrook) is a brook in the Denderstreek, Belgium. The stream has a length of approximately 22 kilometers. The source of the Molenbeek is located in Grotenberge and the delta is in nearby Wichelen. This brook is not to be confused with the Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek which is also in Erpe-Mere (and Herzele).

Wichelen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɪxələ(n)] (listen)) is a municipality located in the Denderstreek in the Belgian province of East Flanders, comprising the towns of Schellebelle, Serskamp and Wichelen proper. In 2021, its population was 11,690 and its area 22.87 km².The Molenbeek crosses Wichelen in Schellebelle, Serskamp and Wichelen.

Lokeren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈloːkərə(n)] ) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, and belongs to the Waasland, also called Land van Waas, of which it is the second most important city after Sint-Niklaas. The city, located on the river Durme, the Lede, and the E17 motorway, has more than 42,100 inhabitants who are called Lokeraars or Rapenfretters. Because Lokeren is located on the Durme, Lokeren is often called "The Durme City". Horse sausages are officially recognized as a regional product.

Zele (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzeːlə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, around 20 kilometers east of Ghent. The municipality only comprises the town of Zele proper. In 2023, Zele had a total population of 21,374. The total area is 33 km2 which gives a population density of 641.6 people per km2.

Sterrebeek Castle was a moated castle in Lokeren, of which have survived only a few remains incorporated in a 19th-century building. The castle once belonged to the de Cortewille family, and was situated between the Oude Vismijn and Lokeren's Markt.In the 19th century, what remained of the castle was integrated into a building housing a glass warehouse. Traces of the former castle can be seen in the said building's eastern facade, in the remaining arched door (korfboogdeur) and sandstone corner stone. The remains of the castle can be accessed through a small alley.The building in which the remains were integrated is a broad, brick three-story structure, with round arched windows and saddle roof.

The Sint-Lodewijkscollege is a Catholic high school (subsidized free school) in the centre of Lokeren, Belgium.

Lokeren railway station (Dutch: Station Lokeren, French: Gare de Lokeren) is a railway station in Lokeren, East Flanders, Belgium. The station opened on 9 August 1847 and is located on railway lines 57 and 59. The train services are operated by the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB).

The Arrondissement of Dendermonde (Dutch: Arrondissement Dendermonde; French: Arrondissement de Termonde) is one of the six administrative arrondissements in the Province of East Flanders, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Dendermonde also comprises the municipalities of the Arrondissements of Aalst (except the municipalities of Geraardsbergen, Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Houtem and Zottegem) and Sint-Niklaas.

Daknamstadion is a football stadium in the village Daknam, municipality Lokeren (Belgium). The stadium is the home ground of Lokeren-Temse and was the stadium of Sporting Lokeren before the club went bankrupt in 2020. Around 1980 the stadium could host 18,000 people, due to security reasons the stadium's capacity was reduced to 9,560. In 2014, the club expanded its stadium, which brings the stadium's current capacity at 12,136.On 3 March 2010, it hosted an under 21 international between Belgium and Malta.

Mesen Castle was an important noble residence in Lede, Belgium, today partly ruined and completely abandoned. The castle is considered to have been one of the most important aristocratic estates of the 18th century.
