Southgate Shopping Center is a shopping center located at the southeast corner of Eureka and Trenton Roads in Southgate, Michigan. Completed by 1958, it was one of the first major strip malls in the southern Detroit suburbs until the nearby Southland Center opened in 1970. At its peak, the center housed over thirty stores.

Southgate Tower is a high-rise office building at 16333 Trenton Road in Southgate, Michigan. Since its completion, it has been the tallest building in the Downriver area of Wayne County, Michigan, as well as the tallest building between Detroit and Toledo, Ohio. A large portion of office space in the building was occupied by PNC Financial Services. Until October 18, 2013, a PNC Bank branch also operated in the building. It was initially constructed in 1972 and completed in 1973 by Lincoln Park-based Security Bank to house their headquarters. Since its completion, Southgate Tower's bank tenant has changed, first in 1993 to First of America Bank, then in 1997 to National City Bank and finally to PNC in early 2010. in Late 2021, reports of its conversion into Apartments if a zoning change was approved came to light, and eventually construction began in Mid-2023, with planned completion being mid-2025. The office building is easily accessible from M-85 (Fort Street), as a driveway connects that road to the building's parking lot. Southgate Tower is easily visible from many locations in Southgate and adjacent communities.

Southgate was incorporated as a city in October 1958, which was one of the last remaining portions of the now-defunct Ecorse Township. It is part of the Downriver collection of communities south of the city of Detroit.

Our Lady of the Scapular Parish (Polish: Parafia Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej) is a Roman Catholic personal parish that specifically ministers to Polish immigrants and those of Polish descent. Our Lady of the Scapular Parish was established on August 1, 2013, as a result from a merger of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (1899–2013) and St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish (1914–2013). The activities of the parish are located at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wyandotte, Michigan, Wayne County, United States.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School, (Polish: Matki Bożej Szkaplerznej Wyższej Szkoły) was a private, Roman Catholic high school in Wyandotte, Michigan to the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It was closed in June, 2011 by the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Mount Carmel Cemetery is located in Wyandotte, Michigan, in the United States. Established in 1864, Mount Carmel Cemetery is an active cemetery. The original cemetery was 10 acres (40,000 m2) holding over 8,000 interments. An additional section of one acre was added in November 2004. The grounds offer a columbarium, traditional, and green burials. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit oversees the cemetery grounds.

Riverview is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 12,486 at the 2010 census.Riverview is a suburb of Metro Detroit about 6 miles (9.7 km) south of the southern border of Detroit along the Detroit River. Riverview was incorporated as a village within Monguagon Township in 1923 and later incorporated as a city in 1959.

Theodore Roosevelt High School, also known as RHS or Roosevelt, or also Wyandotte High by alumni, is the secondary school serving Wyandotte, Michigan, located on Eureka Road several blocks west of Biddle Avenue. The corner stone of Roosevelt High School was laid in the Fall of 1921. Roosevelt did not open its doors to students until April 1923. RHS is the only public high school in the city of Wyandotte. Its mascot is the Bear, with athletic teams with similar names (the Bears for males and the Lady Bears for females). As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,382 students and 60.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 22.9:1. There were 501 students (36.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 106 (7.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The mainstream curriculum is essentially university-preparatory, yet students do not have to enroll in all of these classes. Standard procedure for graduation is having obtained 22 of 24 possible credits, taking 4 terms of English and literature based classes, including Composition, 3 terms of Social Studies, including Economics and Government, 3 terms of Science, and 3 terms of Mathematics. Students must also include 2 terms of the Arts or Vocational training, 2 terms of a Foreign Language, and 1 term of Physical Education. The school offers several advanced and honors classes for all grades. Advanced Placement courses are offered to juniors and seniors. In addition to this, all juniors must take the Michigan Work Keys as well as an in-school session of the SAT in the second semester. Class Courses such as Mathematics were increased requirements to Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II is required by state. 3 years of Science is also required by state now, Physical Science, Biology and Chemistry.
