WHTP (1280 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Gardiner, Maine, United States. It serves the Lewiston-Auburn and Augusta metropolitan areas. The station is owned by MaineInvests LLC. It airs a rhythmic contemporary format, branded as Hot Radio Maine, simulcast with WHTP-FM (104.7) in Kennebunkport and WHZP (1400 AM) in Veazie. WHTP is powered in the daytime at 5,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. At night, to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 1280, it reduces power to 400 watts. The transmitter is located off Northern Avenue in Farmingdale, near the Maine Turnpike. WHTP is also simulcast on an FM translator station, 100.3 W262DP in Gardiner.

Vaughan Woods & Historic Homestead is a non-profit nature preserve and historic house museum in Hallowell, Maine. The trails of Vaughan Woods are open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. The Hallowell Powder House is a historic military storage facility on High Street in Hallowell, Maine. Built in 1819, it is one of three documented early 19th-century arms magazines in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 as the Powder House Lot.

The Hubbard Free Library is the public library serving Hallowell, Maine. Built in 1879-80, it is the oldest library building in Maine built for that purpose. It was designed by architect Alexander C. Currier to resemble an English country church. Dedicated in 1880 as the Hallowell Library, it was renamed the Hubbard Free Library in 1894, after a $20,000 donation from philanthropist Thomas Hubbard. The building is a contributing property in the Hallowell Historic District.

The Maine Industrial School for Girls, also once known as the Stevens School and the State School for Girls in Hallowell, is a former juvenile detention and education facility on Winthrop Street in Hallowell, Maine. The school operated from its founding in 1874 until the mid-1970s. Its campus, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, housed a variety of state offices, and a state Department of Corrections pre-release center until 2003 when the state put the complex up for sale and began moving offices off campus. The site remained unsold until 2016, when it was purchased by Mastway Development, LLC of Winthrop, Maine. Since then the main building has been completely renovated to serve as a 36 bed student dormitory for the University of Maine at Augusta which opened in August 2019.
