Rosario Central is a former railway station in Rosario, Argentina. It is located at the junction of Corrientes St. and Wheelwright Avenue, in the city center, not far from the coast of the Paraná River. The station was part of the Mitre Railway network until 1977 when it fell into disuse. After being restored by the Municipality of Rosario, in 2005 the building was re-opened as the seat of the Center Municipal District, named "Antonio Berni".

San Martín Street is an important street in Rosario, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. It runs north–south through the center of the city, from the coastal avenue by the Paraná River to the southern limit of the urbanized area (a total of 6.5 km). It was originally named Calle del Puerto ("Port Street"); the name was changed in 1887 to honour Independence War hero General José de San Martín. San Martín St. starts near the river at Belgrano Avenue and climbs towards the downtown area. At the intersection with Santa Fe St. it is normally closed to traffic, and it becomes a highly commercial pedestrian-only street one block to the south, upon meeting Córdoba St. (also pedestrian-only at this point). It passes by the former Customs Office, the New Bank of Santa Fe and the Municipal Bank, several important hotels, the Monumental film theater, and the Bernardino Rivadavia Culture Center at Plaza Montenegro. The street returns to normal traffic four blocks later, at the intersection with Mendoza St. South of 27 de Febrero Boulevard, San Martín St. becomes a two-way avenue (26 m wide) that serves the traffic of a large area in the southeast of Rosario. In this section there is a great number of stores, thus making it the commercial core of the southern neighbourhoods. San Martín Ave. then meets Beltway Avenue and the municipal limit marked by the Saladillo Stream, and continues into the jurisdiction of the city of Villa Gobernador Gálvez.

Firma y Odilo Estévez Municipal Decorative Art Museum (in Spanish, Museo de Arte Decorativo Firma y Odilo Estévez) is the former home of the Estévez family in Rosario, Argentina, which was donated to the Municipality of Rosario and turned into a museum. Mrs. Firma Mayor de Estévez bequeathed her mansion and its contents to the city, in memory of her husband Odilo Estévez. The municipal government assumed its ownership in 1966, and inaugurated the museum officially on 8 July 1968. The museum is located in the historical core of Rosario, in front of Plaza 25 de Mayo, at the starting point of the old village, near the town hall (Palacio de los Leones) and the Cathedral. Administratively, it depends on the Culture and Education Secretariat of the Municipality of Rosario. It showcases a permanent exhibition of artwork that was gathered by the Estévez family during almost 30 years, including Spanish furniture from the 16th, 17th and 18th century and copies of 18th-century French furniture; a collection of European paintings; a number of sculptures; works in ivory, glass, porcelain, jade, and silver (European, pre-Columbian and Asian); tapestries, carpets, and fans.

Plaza 25 de Mayo ("May 25 Square"; Spanish: [ˈplasa βejntiˈsiŋko ðeˈmaʝo]) is a plaza (urban square) in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is Rosario's civic center, and the core of the original settlement. Its name alludes to the date (25 May 1810) of the May Revolution, which led to the establishment of the first local Argentine government in Buenos Aires. Before 1852, when this name was adopted, it was simply called Plaza Principal ("Main Square"). Plaza 25 de Mayo is located on the eastern edge of the present-day downtown area, not far from the Paraná River, and occupies the block defined by Santa Fe St., Buenos Aires St., Laprida St. and Córdoba St. East of the plaza lie the seat of the executive branch of Rosario's municipal government, called Palacio de los Leones, and the Basilica Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, seat of the Archdiocese of Rosario. These buildings are separated by a pedestrian passage called Pasaje Juramento, leading to the National Flag Memorial. The Memorial's propylaeum and stone tower can thus be clearly seen from the plaza. At the center of the plaza there is a monumental column dedicated to national freedom (Columna à la Libertad), with a statue representing Liberty standing on top, and surrounded by the statues of national heroes José de San Martín and Manuel Belgrano, journalist and independence activist Mariano Moreno, and first Argentine president Bernardino Rivadavia. The monument, which dates from 1883, was sculpted by Alejandro Biggi in Carrara marble. Prior to that, since 25 May 1855, its place was occupied by Argentina's first monument to the national constitution of 1853.

La Bola de Nieve (Spanish, literally The Snowball) is a historical building in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. Its name alludes to the presence of a large stone sphere on its top. The building is located in the corner of Laprida St. and Córdoba St., at the edge of the downtown area, in front of Plaza 25 de Mayo. It was built in 1907, and commissioned by Camilo Guani, owner and founder of the financial institution that bore the name of Bola de Nieve; to a French-born architect by the name of Édouard Le Monnier, this mutual fund company had the tallest building in the city at the time it was built. The top of the building is a cylindrical body held up by columns and crowned by a sphere. The Palacio Minetti (Spanish, Minetti Palace) is a building in Rosario, in Santa Fe Province, Argentina. It is located at one end of the pedestrian segment of Córdoba St., within the historical district known as Paseo del Siglo. The palace was projected in 1929 by the architects José Gerbino, Luis Schwarz and Juan Bautista Durand, who were commissioned by Domingo Minetti, a vegetable oil and mill industry businessman, for the design of new corporate headquarters for Minetti y Compañía. It was built by Candia y Cía., and finished around 1931. The building is considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco in the city. Its structure is based on a portal with four columns in red granite and a tall white façade ornamented with uniform rhomboids. At the top there is a stepped pyramid, crowned by bronze statues of two women holding a torch.

Palacio de los Leones (Spanish, Palace of the Lions) is the name of the main municipal building of the city of Rosario, Argentina. The Palace is the seat of the executive branch of the municipal government. It is located at the corner of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe Streets, in front of Plaza 25 de Mayo (May 25 Square), and separated from the Cathedral by the promenade known as Pasaje Juramento (Oath Passage), which leads to the National Flag Memorial. The palace was built by architect Gaetano Rezzara, in a neo-Renaissance style, and was inaugurated in 1898. Its name comes from the two lions that flank the stairway leading to the main door, which are copies of the ones found on the steps of the Cathedral of St. Lawrence in Genoa, Italy. The building is painted reddish brown (terra cotta or pale carmine), and the two lions are white.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rosario (Latin: Archidioecesis Rosariensis) is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the southern part of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, with its mother church, the Basilica Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, located in the city of Rosario. The Archbishop since 22 December 2005 is José Luis Mollaghan and the Auxiliary Bishop was Sergio Fenoy, until he was appointed Bishop of San Miguel the 5 December 2006. The former archbishop Eduardo Mirás served as Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese between 22 December 2005 and 18 March 2006, the date that Msgr. Mollaghan was installed. The Archdiocese has an area of 13,500 km2 and a population of around 1,700,000, with 121 parishes. Its ecclesiastical province includes the departments of Belgrano, General López, Iriondo, Rosario and San Lorenzo, plus almost the whole departments of Caseros and Constitución. It has two suffragan bishops, corresponding to the dioceses of San Nicolás de los Arroyos and Venado Tuerto.

The Cathedral Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary is a minor basilica and cathedral dedicated to the local Virgin of the Rosary, in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Rosario. The basilica is located on the oldest part of the city, at the corner of Buenos Aires St. and Córdoba St., besides the Palacio de los Leones (that is, the municipal building), across the pedestrian path called Pasaje Juramento ("Oath Passage") that leads into the National Flag Memorial. The basilica faces Plaza 25 de Mayo (May 25th Square), also bordered by the Central Post Office. The first parish was built in this site in 1731, at a time when Rosario was no more than a small scattered village on the shore of the Paraná River. The image of the Virgin of the Rosary was brought from Cádiz, Spain, in 1773. The basilica dates from the last part of the 19th century; it was first projected in 1882 and its construction started in 1887. Its altar is of Italian origin, and it was made of Carrara marble. The mother church was officially named a cathedral at the canonical erection of the Diocese of Rosario, on 20 April 1934, and it became a basilica on 7 October 1966.

Plaza Pringles (Spanish for "Pringles Square") is a plaza (urban square) in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Its name is an homage to Colonel Juan Pascual Pringles, hero of the Spanish American wars of independence (who also gave its name to the Plaza Pringles located in the city of San Luis). Plaza Pringles occupies a half block in the downtown area of Rosario, beside the historical section of Córdoba St. known as Paseo del Siglo. It is surrounded by the Juan Álvarez Passage, Paraguay St., Córdoba St., and Presidente Roca St. Opposite the Passage lies the old entrance to the Biblioteca Argentina Dr. Juan Álvarez (the largest public library in Rosario). The terrain where the plaza was to be located was originally bought by Rosario's Political Chief (mayor) Nicasio Oroño, and turned into a public space in 1898. It received several names until acquiring that of Pringles.

The Palacio Cabanellas (Spanish, Cabanellas Palace) is a historical building in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is located in the downtown area, occupying the southwestern corner of San Luis St. and Sarmiento St. The palace was projected around 1914 by the Majorcan architect Francisco Roca (Francesc Roca i Simó), who had been personally influenced by Antoni Gaudí during his studies in Barcelona. It was built in 1916 under the direction of Luis B. Laporte. It is one of very few examples of Modernisme (Catalan-style Art Nouveau) found in Rosario.It was restored under official sponsorship during the mid-2000s, in order to repair fissures and replace outer details.In 2006 the Palacio was one of the locations of the movie ¿De quién es el portaligas? (released 2007), directed by Rosario-born popular composer Fito Páez.

Plaza Santiago Montenegro is a small hardscape plaza in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. Its name honors one of the first Spanish-descended settlers in the area, Captain Santiago Montenegro. It was known as Plaza Pinasco until 1993. The plaza occupies part of a block in the downtown area, limited by San Luis St., a pedestrian segment of San Martín St., and a smaller street or passage called Barón de Mauá. Most of the block is taken up by the Bernardino Rivadavia Culture Center.
