Crooked Hill

Black Run is a 3.9-mile-long (6.3 km) tributary of Paxton Creek in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Black Run begins in upper Susquehanna Township and joins Paxton Creek 6.3 miles (10.1 km) from the Susquehanna at Harrisburg.

Wildwood Park is a public park and nature sanctuary in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The 229 acre park is known for its 90-acre shallow lake with over 6 miles of trails and mile-long boardwalk over the wetlands. The park is located within the city limits of Harrisburg; however, it is administered and maintained by the Dauphin County Parks and Recreation Department. Wildwood Park runs in line with Paxton Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River, on the northern side of Harrisburg and adjacent to the main campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. Paxton Creek feeds into the lake, which comprises 60% of the Park. A section of the old Pennsylvania Canal runs parallel to the western trail. The remainder of the park is mixed deciduous forest, and an artificial meadow overlooks the eastern side of the lake. Wildwood Park is also part of the Capital Area Greenbelt.

Widener University Commonwealth Law School (Widener Law Commonwealth) is a law school located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and part of Widener University, a private university in Chester, Pennsylvania. It is one of two separate ABA-accredited law schools of the university. It was founded in 1989 as an expansion of Widener University's law school in Wilmington. It awards the Juris Doctor degree in its full-time and part-time programs and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).

Susquehanna Township is a township in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 26,736 at the time of the 2020 census. This represents a 9.8% increase from the 2000 census count of 21,895. Susquehanna Township has the postal ZIP codes 17109 and 17110, which maintain the Harrisburg place name designation. The township is a suburb of Harrisburg and is connected to Marysville by the Rockville Bridge, the world's longest stone-arch rail bridge at the time of its completion.

Estherton is an unincorporated area and neighborhood in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States, and a part of the Harrisburg-Carlisle area. It is situated on the Susquehanna River, just north of the city of Harrisburg and above the Montrose Park neighborhood but below the Lucknow neighborhood within Susquehanna Township. Interstate 81 runs through the community to the George N. Wade Memorial Bridge.

Commonwealth Charter Academy (previously named Commonwealth Connections Academy) is a large, public, cyber charter school. The school serves all school-aged children in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regardless of where the child lives. The Academy's headquarters is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is one of sixteen public cyber charters schools operating in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The School operates seven additional branches, called Family Service Centers, across the Commonwealth: Andreas, Allentown, Harrisburg, Center City Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cranberry, Scranton and Williamsport. When the School was originally approved it served Kindergarten through 8th grade pupils all across Pennsylvania.In 2023, enrollment was 22,000 pupils in grades kindergarten through 12th. The Capital Area Intermediate Unit IU15 provides the school with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.

HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, (HACC) is a community college in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. HACC is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. HACC serves 17,000 degree-seeking students, as well as more than 8,300 remedial and workforce development students. The College has more than 100,000 alumni.

Harrisburg Intermodal Yard is a large rail yard located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The yard used to be operated by Conrail, and since 1999, has been operated by the Norfolk Southern Railway. The Harrisburg Yard, the Enola Yard and the Rutherford Yard are the three major rail facilities located in the Harrisburg area.

The station's studios and offices are located at 600 Corporate Circle in Harrisburg. WRVV has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 15,000 watts. The transmitter antenna is on the WHP-TV broadcast tower on Blue Mountain in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County at (40°20′43.3″N 76°52′7.9″W). It uses the slogan is "Real. Rock. Variety." WRVV broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD2 digital subchannel simulcasts the talk radio programming on sister station WHP (580 AM).

WITF-FM (89.5 FM) is a non-commercial, public FM radio station licensed to serve Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by WITF, Inc., and broadcasts NPR talk and news programming. It is co-owned with the area's Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member station, WITF-TV (channel 33). Both stations are based at the Public Media Center in Swatara Township (with a Harrisburg mailing address), and broadcast from a shared tower located on Blue Mountain in Susquehanna Township. Like most NPR member stations, WITF-FM broadcasts fundraising appeals, seeking contributions from its listeners to support the station.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is an annual agricultural exposition celebrating Pennsylvania's agriculture industry, held every January at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is the largest indoor agricultural event held in the United States. The Farm Show Complex houses 24 acres (97,000 m2) under its roof, spread throughout eleven halls, including three arenas. The annual event is free to the public and attracts over half a million visitors. This event was first held in 1917 as Pennsylvania's State Fair. The 2021 rendition of the Farm Show, however, was entirely virtual for the first time in its history due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The Farm Show has over 10,000 competitive events spread over 35 departments. All exhibits are owned, grown, or fashioned by residents of Pennsylvania. In addition to these events, the Farm Show offers hands-on learning activities such as lace making, wheat weaving, and blacksmithing. The Farm Show also features a portable merry-go-round carnival ride that was manufactured by the Allan Herschell Company in 1946. Antique agricultural equipment is often displayed at the show, alongside new farming technology.
