Wildwood Park is a public park and nature sanctuary in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The 229 acre park is known for its 90-acre shallow lake with over 6 miles of trails and mile-long boardwalk over the wetlands. The park is located within the city limits of Harrisburg; however, it is administered and maintained by the Dauphin County Parks and Recreation Department. Wildwood Park runs in line with Paxton Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River, on the northern side of Harrisburg and adjacent to the main campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. Paxton Creek feeds into the lake, which comprises 60% of the Park. A section of the old Pennsylvania Canal runs parallel to the western trail. The remainder of the park is mixed deciduous forest, and an artificial meadow overlooks the eastern side of the lake. Wildwood Park is also part of the Capital Area Greenbelt.

Rockville is an unincorporated community in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. The community is home to the Rockville Bridge. Rockville is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. Originally settled in 1774 and referred to as Bushy Rock, the town of Rockville was laid out in 1834 to 1838 as Roberts Valley, by Mrs. Matilda Cox.

Estherton is an unincorporated area and neighborhood in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States, and a part of the Harrisburg-Carlisle area. It is situated on the Susquehanna River, just north of the city of Harrisburg and above the Montrose Park neighborhood but below the Lucknow neighborhood within Susquehanna Township. Interstate 81 runs through the community to the George N. Wade Memorial Bridge.

Fort Hunter Historic District is a national historic district located at Fort Hunter, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The district includes six contributing buildings, four contributing sites, and one contributing structure. The area has seen continuous settlement since the early 1700s and once was the site of an early supply fort and garrison. Also in the district are the remains of a section of the Pennsylvania Canal. Notable buildings include the separately listed Archibald McAllister House, a spring house, Everhart Covered Bridge, large frame barn (1876), corn crib, farm house, blacksmith shop, stone stable barn, Hunter's House or Old Hotel, ice house, and archaeological sites for Fort Hunter, the garrison, Hunter's Mill, and the Pennsylvania Canal.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Rockville Bridge is the longest stone masonry arch railroad viaduct ever built, at 3,820 feet (1,160 m). It has 48 70-foot spans.The bridge crosses the Susquehanna River about 5 miles (8 km) north of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The eastern end is located in Rockville and the western end is just south of Marysville. Completed in 1902 by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), it remains in use today by the Norfolk Southern Railway and Amtrak's Pennsylvanian route. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and was designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1979.

Archibald McAllister House, now officially known as Fort Hunter Mansion, is a historic home located on the Susquehanna River approximately 6 miles north of downtown Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It consists of a 2-story, 2-room stone "cabin' built in 1787, to which was added in 1814 a 2 1/2-story, five-bay wide stone dwelling in the Federal style. The mansion has an overall "T"-floorplan, with the 2+1⁄2-story 1814 addition in front and the original 1787 cabin and an attached, woodframe summer kitchen built in the mid- to late-19th century to the rear. The mansion features a front portico with Tuscan order columns above which is a Palladian window on the second floor. The entry door has a semi-circular fanlight and sidelights with thin wooden ribbing.The house is open as a 19th-century historic house museum and 40 acre park. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It is located in the Fort Hunter Historic District.

Fishing Creek is an 11.5-mile-long (18.5 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in the United States.Fishing Creek flows west through West Hanover and Middle Paxton townships and joins the Susquehanna River at the unincorporated community of Fort Hunter. Another Fishing Creek exists directly across the Susquehanna River in the borough of Marysville, Pennsylvania.

Black Run is a 3.9-mile-long (6.3 km) tributary of Paxton Creek in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Black Run begins in upper Susquehanna Township and joins Paxton Creek 6.3 miles (10.1 km) from the Susquehanna at Harrisburg.

Widener University Commonwealth Law School (Widener Law Commonwealth) is a law school located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and part of Widener University, a private university in Chester, Pennsylvania. It is one of two separate ABA-accredited law schools of the university. It was founded in 1989 as an expansion of Widener University's law school in Wilmington. It awards the Juris Doctor degree in its full-time and part-time programs and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).

Fort Hunter is an unincorporated community in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.Six miles north of Harrisburg, on the south bank of Fishing Creek at its junction with the Susquehanna River, near Rockville, stood Fort Hunter, named after Robert Hunter, a pioneer who had previously settled there. Its construction was probably commenced by the settlers circa October or November 1755, immediately after the massacre at Penns Creek, and completed by the Government troops when taking charge in January, 1756.It was a block-house surrounded by a stockade, and had additional barracks on the outside for the recruits on their way to Fort Augusta. It was generally under the command of Captain Thomas McKee and Captain James Patterson, of Lt. Colonel William Clapham's Augusta Regiment, being the only defense in this list not directly under Colonel Conrad Weiser's command. It occupied an important position and was used until the termination of all hostilities in 1764.
