Bawana is a census town founded by two Gaur Brahmins Kala and Thukrai in the North West district of Delhi, India. It houses the Bawana Fortress of Zail (also called Bawana Tehsil), a Zail headquarter built by the who were (chief) of Bawana Zail, which was one of the four Zails of Delhi during British raj along with Zails of Mehrauli, Dilli, and Najafgarh.

Bawana Fortress or Bawana Zail, also Bawana Jail and Bawana tehsil is a historic fortress at Bawana in Delhi in India, it was built in 1860s by Jat chaudhary (chiefs) of the area who became zaildar of Bawana zail during the British raj.

Bawana Assembly constituency is one of the seventy Delhi assembly constituencies of Delhi in northern India. Bawana assembly constituency is a part of North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.

Nangal Thakran is a census town in Narela Block in the Indian state of Delhi.

Pragati-III Combined Cycle Power Plant is located at Bawana Delhi, India. The power plant is one of the gas based power plants of Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL). The source of water for the power plant is treated water from Rithala Sewage Treatment Plant.

India's first dedicated heliport named Rohini Heliport built at a cost of Rs 100 crore for flying in and out of Delhi to nearby areas in choppers is also located in Barwala.

Sannoth or Sanoth is a village in Narela Zone, Narela in North West district in the Indian state of Delhi.

Rohini Heliport is a Heliport located at Sector 36, Rohini in Delhi, India. It is the first Heliport in India. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated the new facility on 28 February 2017. The Heliport was proposed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and approved under the Master Plan of Delhi. The Ministry of Environment accorded in-principle approval to the proposal in June 2011.
