Badger Creek is a creek in Madison, Webster and Humboldt counties, Iowa, in the United States. It is a tributary of the Des Moines River. Badger Creek was so named from a badger who fought a dog at the creek.

St. Patrick's Catholic Church is a parish church in the Diocese of Des Moines. The church was built in 1868 and is located southwest of the town of Cumming in rural Madison County, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Pope John Paul II visited the church while he was on his first pastoral visit to the United States in 1979.

The Cunningham Bridge is a historic structure located northwest of Bevington, Iowa, United States. It spans the North River for 143 feet (44 m). The Madison County Board of Supervisors contracted with the George E. King Bridge Company of Des Moines to replace an existing span that was to be moved to another site. The wrought iron Pratt pony truss bridge was shipped to the county and erected by June 1886 for $820. The approaches are timber stringer spans, and it is supported by timber pile bents. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Badger Creek State Recreation Area is a state recreation area in Madison County, Iowa, United States, near the city of Van Meter. The park covers over 700 acres (280 ha) of land and includes the 276-acre (112 ha) Badger Creek Lake. The lake has two boat ramps and multiple fishing jetties; fish living in the lake include bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. The entire recreation area is also open for hunting.The recreation area is known for its annual sunflower field. The field, which is located in a different spot each year, is planted in spring and typically blooms in July or August. In addition to attracting visitors and photographers, the flowers bring deer and birds into the recreation area before the fall hunting season.

Maffitt Lake is a reservoir in the four corners of Dallas County, Polk County, Warren County, and Madison County, Iowa. It is owned by the Des Moines Water Works that serves as an emergency water supply for the city of Des Moines, Iowa. In a drought emergency, the level of the Raccoon River could be brought up by draining water from the lake into the river. The main park area is named the Dale Maffit Reservoir and Arboretum. The park has a paved loop to a picnic area with lake access for kayaks and canoes. There are also hiking trails throughout the park. The picnic area has flush toilets that are open in the April through October. The Gilfillan Family Cemetery is located near the entrance of the picnic area. This 19th century cemetery contains the remains of 10 early Polk County, Iowa settlers.

The Robert William Andrew Feller Farmstead is a federally designated historic site a couple miles northeast of Van Meter in Dallas County, Iowa, United States. It is the boyhood home of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller. The historic district is 1.2 acres (0.49 ha). The Feller family farm was once 350 acres (140 ha) but most of it has been sold to other farmers and the current farm is 40 acres (16 ha). Feller sold the farmstead in 1955 and it is currently owned by Dr. Jose Angel since about 1994.
