Badger Creek State Recreation Area is a state recreation area in Madison County, Iowa, United States, near the city of Van Meter. The park covers over 700 acres (280 ha) of land and includes the 276-acre (112 ha) Badger Creek Lake. The lake has two boat ramps and multiple fishing jetties; fish living in the lake include bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. The entire recreation area is also open for hunting.The recreation area is known for its annual sunflower field. The field, which is located in a different spot each year, is planted in spring and typically blooms in July or August. In addition to attracting visitors and photographers, the flowers bring deer and birds into the recreation area before the fall hunting season.

The Miller Bridge is a historic structure, originally located northeast of Winterset, Iowa, United States. It spanned an unnamed stream for 128 feet (39 m). The Madison County Board of Supervisors contracted with King and Twiss of Des Moines to supply the wrought iron Pratt pony truss. Local contractors H.P. Jones and G.K. Foster built the iron tube substructure and erected the truss manufactured by the King Iron Bridge & Manufacturing Company of Cleveland. The total cost of the project was $2,197.55. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The span was moved in 2008.

The Robert William Andrew Feller Farmstead is a federally designated historic site a couple miles northeast of Van Meter in Dallas County, Iowa, United States. It is the boyhood home of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller. The historic district is 1.2 acres (0.49 ha). The Feller family farm was once 350 acres (140 ha) but most of it has been sold to other farmers and the current farm is 40 acres (16 ha). Feller sold the farmstead in 1955 and it is currently owned by Dr. Jose Angel since about 1994.

The Cunningham Bridge is a historic structure located northwest of Bevington, Iowa, United States. It spans the North River for 143 feet (44 m). The Madison County Board of Supervisors contracted with the George E. King Bridge Company of Des Moines to replace an existing span that was to be moved to another site. The wrought iron Pratt pony truss bridge was shipped to the county and erected by June 1886 for $820. The approaches are timber stringer spans, and it is supported by timber pile bents. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
