Chandler Bridge Formation

The Isle of Palms Connector Bridge connects the town of Mount Pleasant with the Isle of Palms in South Carolina. The bridge is part of, and comprises most of the length of, South Carolina Highway 517, which is commonly known as the "Isle of Palms Connector", and bears the official name of "Clyde Moultrie Dangerfield Highway". It connects US 17 in Mount Pleasant, SC with South Carolina Highway 703 on the Isle of Palms. It was designed by a joint venture between LPA and Grenier and built by Massman Construction Company. The connector is the site of the annual "Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child," a combined 10k run and 5k run/walk. The highway was named for Clyde Moultrie Dangerfield, a Charleston area business man who served in the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Isle of Palms is a city in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. At the 2010 census, the population was 4,133. Isle of Palms is a barrier island on the South Carolina coast. The city is included within the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area and the Charleston-North Charleston Urbanized Area. The town lies along a narrow strip of land, hugging the beach, separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway. It is a community of both vacation home owners and year-round residents, with large beachfront homes, resorts, and local restaurants. Beach volleyball is popular in the summer, and the "Windjammer" club hosts several tournaments throughout the year.

Goat Island is an island located between Mt. Pleasant and Isle of Palms, South Carolina, United States, on the Intracoastal Waterway. It is one of the smallest inhabited islands of the region, being only as large as a neighborhood street. There is another Goat Island in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, that is approximately 20,000 square feet. There is yet another Goat Island located in the Whale Branch River near Seabrook, SC. The island is privately owned. Little Goat Island, which is also in between Isle of Palms and Mt Pleasant, has recently been put up for sale by Private Islands Inc. for US$3.5 million. The website states that the island is 390 acres in size but only 25 acres are high enough in elevation to be suitable for development.

Wild Dunes is an oceanfront resort on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, United States. It is 1,600 acres (6 km2) on the north end of the island and has controlled-access gates.

Cook's Old Field Cemetery, also known as Hamlin Cemetery, is a historic cemetery located near Mount Pleasant, Charleston County, South Carolina. It contains graves dating from 1805 to 1916; the majority date from the 1840s and 1850s. The oldest marker is for Arnold Wells who died in 1805. On July 16, 1863, Mary Moore Hamlin set aside one acre of land for the dedicated cemetery. The cemetery is an excellent example of a mid-19th century plantation cemetery associated with the Hamlin, Hibben, and Leland families and is an excellent example of mid-nineteenth century gravestone art. It is also the last extant resource associated with the Hamlin, Hibben, and Leland families; none of the families' plantation houses survive around Mount Pleasant. The cemetery has 38 marked graves. There are headstones, box tombs, and an obelisk. Two markers commemorating the descendants of those who began a reunion committee in 1949 are located immediately inside the gate. The stones, arranged by family, display weathering and some vandalism but otherwise retain their integrity. Two brick columns mark the location of missing iron gates at the entrance. The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 9, 2003.Seven of the ornately carved markers were identified as the work of the family of Charleston stone carver Thomas Walker, who started a family business in 1794 that lasted until 1904.

It airs a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The station's studios and offices are on Houston Northcutt Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. Weekdays begin with a news and information show, Mornings with Kelly Golden. The rest of the schedule is nationally syndicated programs, mostly from co-owned Premiere Networks: The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, The Glenn Beck Program, The Sean Hannity Show, The Ramsey Show with Dave Ramsey, Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis, Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal. Weekends feature shows on money, health, law, real estate, home repair and technology, some of which are paid brokered programming. Syndicated programs include The Kim Komando Show, The Weekend with Michael Brown, The Ben Ferguson Show, Somewhere in Time with Art Bell and Sunday Night with Bill Cunningham. Every Sunday, WSCC-FM broadcasts the 11:00 am service of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Most hours begin with an update from Fox News Radio. WSCC-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 25,000 watts. The transmitter is on Venning Road in Mount Pleasant. WSCC-FM broadcasts in the HD Radio format. Its HD2 digital subchannel formerly carried iHeartRadio's reggae music service "iRie Radio". Its HD3 subchannel carries a simulcast of WAYA-FM, which airs the WAY-FM Network contemporary Christian format.

WALC is a radio station located in Charleston, South Carolina. The station is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to broadcast with 13.5 kW on 100.5 FM. It is owned by the Radio Training Network and broadcasts a Christian radio format under the name HIS Radio 100.5. Programming includes music by such artists as MercyMe, Chasen, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Avalon, Toby Mac, and Mark Schultz, as well a few family ministries such as those of Dr. James Dobson and Charles Stanley. However, the station focuses primarily on music programming.

The radio studios and offices are on Houston Northcutt Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. WRFQ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum permitted for non-grandfathered FM stations. The transmitter is off Venning Road in Mount Pleasant, amid the towers for other Charleston-area TV and FM stations. WRFQ broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD-2 digital subchannel formerly carried an iHeartRadio hip hop music service known as "Hip Hop Workout". The HD2 subchannel has since been turned off.

WXLY (102.5 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to North Charleston, South Carolina, and serving the Charleston metropolitan area and South Carolina Lowcountry. Owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., the station airs an adult contemporary radio format using the brand name Y102.5 and the slogan "Better Music For A Better Workday." For much of November and December, it switches to all-Christmas music. The radio studios and offices are on Houston Northcutt Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. WXLY has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for non-grandfathered FM stations. The transmitter is off Venning Road in Mount Pleasant, amid the towers for other Charleston-area FM and TV stations. WXLY broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD-2 digital subchannel carries Radio By Grace, which in turn feeds two FM translators.

The station is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to broadcast with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100 kW. The station is owned by Cumulus Media. Its studios are located in North Charleston and the transmitter tower is located in Mount Pleasant.

Fort Palmetto is a historic artillery battery located at Christ Church Parish, Hamlin Sound, Charleston County, South Carolina. It was built in late 1861, and was at the easternmost end of the Christ Church Parish line of defense. At the end of the war this battery mounted one nine-inch gun and two rifled thirty-two pounders. The earthen redoubt measures approximately 160 feet long and 80 feet wide. It has a 15 foot high parapet wall and a powder magazine about 25 feet in height.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Fort Palmetto is now part of Fort Palmetto Park, a Town of Mount Pleasant park which opened in 2015 and is located within the subdivision community of Oyster Point.
