The Bethel Baptist Church near Clay Village, Kentucky is a historic church which was built in 1899. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is a three-bay nave-plan church with a projecting vestibule. It has Gothic Revival details. The church was founded or built in 1797; this church building was rebuilt in 1899.

There is no publicly accessible record indicating that the owner of the station filed for authorization to maintain the license while remaining off the air. On June 1, 2010, WCND returned to the air with a Regional Mexican format branded as "La Explosiva 940". On June 15, 2019, WCND began simulcasting on WLRT. In late January 2022, WCND split the simulcast with WLRT and rebranded as "La Pantera 940".

Shelby County High School is a public high school in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky, United States. The school was established in 1960 and later absorbed Shelbyville High School, remaining the only high school in the district until the opening of Martha Layne Collins High School in 2010 to meet overcrowding concerns. The split of the school cut the school's population roughly in half.

The county was established in 1792 and named for Isaac Shelby, the first Governor of Kentucky. Shelby County is part of the Louisville/Jefferson County, KY–IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Caldwell House, just east of Shelbyville, Kentucky, was built in 1892. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is a two-story hip-roofed frame house with decorative features derived from Queen Anne pattern books. The listing included a second contributing building, an original frame barn. It is located on U.S. Route 60 at Kentucky Route 53.

The John C. Brown House, in Shelby County, Kentucky near Mulberry, Kentucky, was built around 1837, and it has additions done in approximately the 1960s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The property was deemed significant under the National Registers' criterion for design and construction, "as a well-preserved example of the early 19th century (1810-1840) 1-story, frame, center-passage, single-pile plan in Shelby County," balancing out the several different-but-from-the-same-period frame I-houses which had been identified in the study. It features "antebellum vernacular" style and was built c. 1837. It was listed as a result of a large 1986-1987 study of the historic resources of Shelby County. The house appeared "to have been built by John Cameron Brown shortly after his marriage to Sarah Ann Waters on September 12, 1837, on land he inherited from his uncle and guardian, the Rev. Archibald Cameron (first pastor of the Mulberry Presbyterian Church. John C. and his brother Archibald Cameron were reared by their uncle following the death of their mother. Both inherited land from the uncle whose will was probated in 1836." A cellar is a second contributing building in the listing. The listings' boundaries were defined to include the house plus "domestic-related space which includes the remains of an orchard, a vegetable garden, and a cellar as well as three non-contributing sheds. Although these sheds are of more recent construction than the house, they could not be eliminated from the nominated area without disrupting the relationship of the house and its setting." Past the mailbox on the east side of Cropper Rd. (Kentucky Route 43), it is way back up a longish driveway, which in the summer is surrounded by very tall corn. The house faces east, away from the lane. It is located within a multi-county study area for routing of a new highway connecting Interstate 65 and Interstate 71 avoiding Louisville.

The Bayne House, at 37 Main St. in Shelbyville, Kentucky, was built in 1915 in Classical Revival style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is a central passage plan house with a curved two-story portico. Its hallway has dado panelling and an open, square stairwell with elaborate balusters. Its hall and two front rooms have cove cornices. Mary Bayne, who lived there, wrote Crestlands about the founding of the Christian Church. It has also been termed The Coachstop. It was listed as part of a larger study of historic resources in Shelbyville.

The Grove Hill Cemetery Chapel, in Grove Hill Cemetery near Shelbyville, Kentucky was built in 1893. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is a limestone ashlar building, designed and built by local builder Lynn T. Gruber in Gothic Revival style. It is located south of Shelbyville at Clear Creek.
