The Merritt Building is a historic building on the corner of Broadway and 8th Street in Downtown Los Angeles, California, U.S.. It was built in 1915 for Hulett C. Merritt, and it was designed in the Neoclassical architectural style. It is 36.27 meter high, with nine storeys. It was purchased by Bonnis Properties, a Canadian development company, for $24 million in November 2016 and is currently undergoing renovation.

The building was originally the headquarters of the Platt Music Corporation.The Platt Building is one of the Anjac Fashion Buildings, and the National Register of Historic Places nomination form for the Broadway Theater and Commercial District uses this name to designate the building. Anjac is a portmanteau of the names Annette and Jack Needleman, real estate owners who in 1964 began buying properties in the Fashion District and surrounding area.

The Globe Theatre, originally the Morosco Theatre, and Garland Building, is an office building and theater at 744 S. Broadway in the Broadway Theater District of the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles. It opened in 1913, has 11 stories, and was designed in Beaux-Arts architectural style by the firm of Morgan, Walls & Morgan. Alfred F. Rosenheim designed its interiors. As of 2024 the venue is again closed, but has a capacity of 2,000. The Globe opened in 1913 as the Morosco Theatre with a seating capacity of 782, used for full-scale live dramatic theater, and built for impresario Oliver Morosco. The Garland Building was office space, forming a single building with the theater The Globe was converted into a movie theater during the Great Depression, and later on showed Spanish-language films until the 1980s It was converted into a swap meet in 1987. As of June 2014, the space was being remodeled as an entertainment venue The restored marquee was relit June 24, 2014. and served during the late 2010s and early 2020s as a multipurpose space for music, theatrical events and films, also as a nightclub where D.J.s like Questlove performed, with a capacity of 2,000. The Globe was again permanently closed as of 2023.

The Orpheum Theatre at 842 S. Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles opened on February 15, 1926, as the fourth and final Los Angeles venue for the Orpheum vaudeville circuit. After a $3 million renovation, started in 1989, it is the most restored of the historical movie palaces in the city. Three previous theatres also bore the name Orpheum before the one at 842 Broadway was the final one with that moniker. The Orpheum has a Beaux Arts facade designed by movie theater architect G. Albert Lansburgh and has a Mighty Wurlitzer organ, installed in 1928, that is one of three pipe organs remaining in Southern California.The Orpheum theatres are named for the Greek mythological figure, Orpheus.

The Eastern Columbia Building, also known as the Eastern Columbia Lofts, is a thirteen-story Art Deco building designed by Claud Beelman located at 849 S. Broadway in the Broadway Theater District of Downtown Los Angeles. It opened on September 12, 1930, after just nine months of construction. It was built at a cost of $1.25 million as the new headquarters and 39th store for the Eastern-Columbia Department Store, whose component Eastern and Columbia stores were founded by Adolph Sieroty and family. At the time of construction, the City of Los Angeles enforced a height limit of 150 feet (46 m), however the decorative clock tower was granted an exemption, allowing the clock a total height of 264 feet (80 m).The edifice is easily spotted from the Interstate 10 - Santa Monica Freeway, as well as many other sections of downtown, due to its bright "melting turquoise" terra cotta tiles and trademark four-sided clock tower, emblazoned with the word "EASTERN" in bright white neon on each face of the clock.The building is widely considered the greatest surviving example of Art Deco architecture in the city. It is one of the city's most photographed structures and a world-renowned Art Deco landmark.
