The Orpheum Theatre at 842 S. Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles opened on February 15, 1926, as the fourth and final Los Angeles venue for the Orpheum vaudeville circuit. After a $3 million renovation, started in 1989, it is the most restored of the historical movie palaces in the city. Three previous theatres also bore the name Orpheum before the one at 842 Broadway was the final one with that moniker. The Orpheum has a Beaux Arts facade designed by movie theater architect G. Albert Lansburgh and has a Mighty Wurlitzer organ, installed in 1928, that is one of three pipe organs remaining in Southern California.The Orpheum theatres are named for the Greek mythological figure, Orpheus.

The May Company Building on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, a.k.a. Hamburgers/May Company Department Store and the May Department Store Building, later known as the California Broadway Trade Center, was the flagship store of the May Company California department store chain. It is a contributing property to the NRHP-listed Broadway Theater and Commercial District.

The former Majestic Theatre at 845 South Broadway in Los Angeles, California was originally built as Asher Hamburger’s Majestic Theatre when it opened in November 1908. It had 1 screen and 1,600 seats. In 1933 it was closed and dismantled.

The Eastern Columbia Building, also known as the Eastern Columbia Lofts, is a thirteen-story Art Deco building designed by Claud Beelman located at 849 S. Broadway in the Broadway Theater District of Downtown Los Angeles. It opened on September 12, 1930, after just nine months of construction. It was built at a cost of $1.25 million as the new headquarters and 39th store for the Eastern-Columbia Department Store, whose component Eastern and Columbia stores were founded by Adolph Sieroty and family. At the time of construction, the City of Los Angeles enforced a height limit of 150 feet (46 m), however the decorative clock tower was granted an exemption, allowing the clock a total height of 264 feet (80 m).The edifice is easily spotted from the Interstate 10 - Santa Monica Freeway, as well as many other sections of downtown, due to its bright "melting turquoise" terra cotta tiles and trademark four-sided clock tower, emblazoned with the word "EASTERN" in bright white neon on each face of the clock.The building is widely considered the greatest surviving example of Art Deco architecture in the city. It is one of the city's most photographed structures and a world-renowned Art Deco landmark.

The Merritt Building is a historic building on the corner of Broadway and 8th Street in Downtown Los Angeles, California, U.S.. It was built in 1915 for Hulett C. Merritt, and it was designed in the Neoclassical architectural style. It is 36.27 meter high, with nine storeys. It was purchased by Bonnis Properties, a Canadian development company, for $24 million in November 2016 and is currently undergoing renovation.

The Blackstone Building (formerly Blackstone's Department Store, now the Blackstone Apartments) is a 1916 structure located at 901 South Broadway in Los Angeles, California. It has been listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument since 2003 (number LA-765). The Blackstone Department Store Building is an early example of the work of John B. Parkinson, Los Angeles’ preeminent architect of the early 20th century, who also designed Bullocks Wilshire. The building is clad in gray terra cotta and styled in the Beaux Arts school.

The California Theatre was a Beaux-Arts cinema at 810 S. Main Street in Downtown Los Angeles. It opened December 24, 1918 by Fred Miller as Miller's California Theatre. It originally housed 2,000, later capacity was lowered to 1,650. The architect was Alex B. Rosenthal, who also designed the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara, California. Goldwyn Pictures bought the cinema in 1919 and hired Samuel L. "Roxy" Rothafel to manage it. From 1935 till 1983 it operated as Teatro California, showing Spanish-language films. As the Historic Core district no longer was the shopping and entertainment center of the city after the 1950s, it became more and more difficult to make a profit. After 1983 it operated as a grind house and afterwards showed pornographic films as a branch of the Pussycat Theaters. The theater closed in 1987 and despite objections was demolished in 1990.

The Garfield Building is a thirteen-story Art Deco style historic structure in Los Angeles, California. Designed by American architect Claud Beelman, construction lasted from 1928 to 1930. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Golden Gopher is a restored 1905 dive bar in Downtown Los Angeles at 417 W. 8th Street. It was originally dubbed The Golden Sun Saloon, reopening as the Golden Gopher in 2004. Due to its age, its original 1905 liquor license exempts it from abiding by certain present-day ordinances, such as prohibiting the sale or location of alcohol within a certain distance of the establishment's front door, or the prohibition of liquor-to-go. Former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt was a rumored early owner of the bar. It is currently managed by L.A. entrepreneur Cedd Moses under his 213 Hospitality group which, as of 2018, oversees 17 other Los Angeles watering holes and eateries that are either in their original state or are located in historic buildings whose original uses differed from that of a food or drink business.
