Varney School

Manchester High School West, known as West High or West, is a public high school located in Manchester, New Hampshire. It is a part of the Manchester School District. According to the Blue Book: Manchester High School West Hand Book (1940), the school was officially opened in September 1923 as a grade school and high school, hosting the seventh and eighth grades. In 1924, with an upsurge in enrollment to 136 pupils, the school became a dedicated high school. The first graduating class was in June 1925. According to the 1940 Blue Book, the mission of the school was to give "each pupil an opportunity to find a career to which he is best adapted and to establish its basis by diligent study in order to promote his progress in life and to give him confidence in facing the world." The courses of study originally offered by Manchester High School West were manual arts, home economics, the commercial course, the classical course (for those planning to go on to university) and the general course. West is one of three public high schools in Manchester. Well over 2,000 students attended West at its peak enrollment. West High School's mascot is the Blue Knight.

The Piscataquog River is a 34.7-mile-long (55.8 km) river located in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine. The Piscataquog River begins at the outlet of Deering Reservoir, a lake in Deering, New Hampshire. The river takes a winding course north, then east, then south, then east again through Hillsborough County to reach the Merrimack River in Manchester. On its way, it passes through the town of Weare, where it is impounded in two reservoirs — Weare Reservoir (or "Lake Horace") and Everett Lake. Everett Lake is part of the watershed-spanning Hopkinton-Everett flood control reservoir — a canal crossing the drainage divide connects Everett Lake to Hopkinton Reservoir, which impounds the Contoocook River. The Piscataquog proceeds south from the Everett Dam along the eastern side of Weare, entering Goffstown shortly before the river's junction with the South Branch, the Piscataquog's largest tributary. From Goffstown to the river's mouth there are two small reservoirs and several additional dams, each constructed for hydroelectric power or older industrial development. In west Manchester, the Piscataquog passes under the Nazaire Biron Bridge and reaches the Merrimack River just upstream of the Queen City Bridge.

Catholic Medical Center (CMC) is a 330-licensed bed (with 258 beds staffed) not-for-profit full-service acute care hospital located in the West Side area of Manchester, New Hampshire, United States. CMC offers medical-surgical care with more than 26 subspecialties, inpatient and outpatient services, diagnostic imaging and a 30-bed 24-hour emergency department. Norris Cotton Cancer Center at CMC offers medical oncology and infusion services. In September 2022, the hospital was the subject of a highly damaging two-part exposé reported by The Boston Globe's Spotlight investigative journalism team surrounding the alleged coverup of frequent surgical malpractice by a former surgeon.

Delta Dental Stadium is a stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire that holds 6,500 people. It is used primarily for baseball, and is the home field of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, an Eastern League baseball team. The first game played at the ballpark was on April 7, 2005, between the New Britain Rock Cats and the Fisher Cats. The first concert was performed by Bob Dylan on August 27, 2006. In 2011 insurance company Northeast Delta Dental signed a 10-year contract for the ballpark's naming rights with a five-year option. The stadium has since updated the name to simply Delta Dental Stadium although Northeast Delta Dental is still the stadium naming rights holder.

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNH Manchester) is the urban campus of the public University of New Hampshire and is located in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was established in 1985 as the sixth college of the University of New Hampshire.

Mount Washington College was a for-profit college in New Hampshire, United States. Until 2013 it was known as Hesser College. It was owned by Kaplan, Inc., and offered associate and bachelor's degrees focused in business and information technology, and claimed a flexible class scheduling system tailored to a diverse group of students. It was accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It closed in May 2016.

The Sainte Marie Roman Catholic Church Parish Historic District, located in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, includes seven red brick buildings dating from the late 19th century and 20th century. The district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2019.Included within the district are: Holy Angels School and Convent, built in 1885. This building contains the Ste. Marie Child Care Center on the lower floors and the meeting space for the Youth Ministry on the top floors. Ste. Marie Church, built during the 1890s, which houses four bells from Louviers, France, and features a 224-foot (68 m) spire Marist Brothers Home, built in 1905. This building is now known as St. Joseph Residents, and houses the sisters of Daughters of Mary, Mother of Healing Love Sisters Home and convent, built in 1907. This building contains the Parish Offices, meeting rooms, and a perpetual adoration chapel. Rectory building, built in 1911 Hevey School, built in 1911–12 and named for Monsignor Pierre Hevey, second pastor of Ste. Marie (A Gymnasium was added to the school in 1966, the school was also renovated at this time) This building contains Holy Family Academy (New Hampshire), a private Catholic school serving students in grades 7-12. A concrete garage for priests who reside in the rectory was built in 1954

Ste. Marie Church is a Roman Catholic church on the West Side of Manchester, New Hampshire, in the United States. The church was founded to serve the needs of French-Canadian Catholic immigrants to New Hampshire. The Gothic Revival church building is a prominent feature on the Manchester skyline, and dominates the West Side skyline. The building is perched atop the plateau that makes up Rimmon Heights, and forms one of the focal points of the Notre Dame neighborhood, along with Lafayette Park across the street. In 1908, while pastor of Ste. Marie, Monsignor Pierre Hevey organized the founding of St. Mary's Bank, which is still based at the foot of the hill beneath the church. Today, Ste. Marie is known, among other things, for its popular Midnight Mass each Christmas Eve, Easter Vigil, and Pentecost Vigil. In September 2019, the church, and the other buildings on campus were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Sainte Marie Roman Catholic Church Parish Historic District.

District A is a historic worker housing district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, near the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard. It is bounded by Pleasant, State, Granite, and Bedford streets, and includes seven surviving tenement blocks (out of ten) built by Amoskeag between 1843 and 1852. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982.

America's Credit Union Museum is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, on the site of the first credit union founded in the United States. The museum is housed at the original location for St. Mary's Cooperative Credit Association, renamed in 1925 to La Caisse Populaire Ste.-Marie, or "Bank of the People", St. Mary's. In 1996, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Building at 418–420 Notre Dame Ave. What is now the museum was formerly a three-story, three-family dwelling belonging to Joseph Boivin, the manager of the St. Mary's Cooperative Credit Association. Boivin started the credit union with the help of Monsignor Pierre Hevey and Alphonse Desjardins. The building was donated to the museum by Mr. & Mrs. Armand Lemire. To create the museum, the first two floors were converted into exhibit space about credit union history in the United States. The first floor pays tribute to the founding era of the credit union from 1908 to 1933. The second floor has historical artifacts beginning from 1934, featuring the Estes Park conference that created the Credit Union National Association, and the 1934 Federal Credit Union Act which enabled credit unions to be established in all states in the nation. The third floor contains an 85-person capacity meeting space with LCD projectors.

Saint Joseph Cemetery is a Corporal Work of Mercy of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Manchester, New Hampshire. It is administered in his name by the pastor and people of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Manchester. Situated on 110 acres (45 ha) on two sites, the older in Manchester and the newer in Bedford, New Hampshire, it has served the Catholic families of Manchester for over 160 years.

Manchester Union Station was a union station in Manchester, New Hampshire for passenger trains passing through the city. It was built in 1898, and by 1910 it was used only for Boston and Maine Railroad trains.
