The Devil's Table (German: Teufelstisch or Salzwooger Teufelstisch) of Salzwoog, in the municipality of Lemberg, is a striking mushroom rock in the German part of the Wasgau that covers the southern part of the Palatinate Forest in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The rock formation lies 5 km southwest of the largest and far better known Devil's Table of Hinterweidenthal, which also has a more impressive "table shape".

The Devil's Table (German: Teufelstisch) in Hinterweidenthal is a 14 metre high mushroom rock in the German part of the Wasgau region, the southern Palatine Forest in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate). Thanks to its location in the territory of the village of Kaltenbach - formerly part of Wilgartswiesen – it is often called the Kaltenbach Devil's Table (Kaltenbacher Teufelstisch), especially in old literary sources. It is larger and better known than the Devil's Table of Salzwoog, which is only 5 kilometres away to the southwest. The Hinterweidenthal Devil's Table is one of the landscape symbols of the Palatinate and is also the subject of a local legend. In 1947 the rock was portrayed on a Rhineland-Palatinate postage stamp.

Ruppertstein Castle (German: Burg Ruppertstein) is the ruins of a hill castle located at an elevation of 452 m above sea level (NN) near the village of Lemberg in the collective municipality of Pirmasens-Land in the county of Südwestpfalz in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is situated on top of the Ruppertstein hill south of the village of Ruppertsweiler.

Münchweiler an der Rodalb is a municipality in Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and belongs to the municipal association of Rodalben. The primary industry of the village was that of a shoe manufacturer. It lies on Strasse B-10 between Karlsruhe and Pirmasens. The first mention of Münchweiler an der Rodalben was in 1179. The village was founded by monks and relied on its religion as its focal point. Because of its poor soil quality, the area has never been able to rely on agriculture. There is some industry from logging and crafts, After the construction of the railway line between Zweibrücken and Landau in the late 1800s, the area's financial hardship lessened. The area though has little industry other than the one shoe factory to rely on. There is a nearby train tunnel that was rumored to have been used to hide artillery during the war and in the forest can be seen the remnants of an old Roman era road. With the withdrawal of the military from Münchweiler, it has had a profound effect on the town with the closure of many businesses and a decrease in real estate values.

Merzalben is a municipality in Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany, deriving its name from the Merzalbe, also known as the Merzalb, that flows through the village. Along with 5 other Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities") Merzalben belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben ("collective municipality of Rodalben") in Südwestpfalz, wherein it is the largest in terms of physical area, but the smallest in terms of population. The municipality contains several distinct natural and cultural landmarks, with the earliest known records dating back to 1237. It was also considered a state-approved tourist resort (German: Fremdenverkehrsort) before the title was dropped in Rhineland Palatinate in 2016 and all communities awarded the designation were barred from its use in 2020.

The Salzbach, which is initially called the Kröppenbach and then the Buchbach, is with a length of around 17 kilometres (11 mi) the longest tributary of the Lauter, which here in its upper reaches is known as the Wieslauter. It flows through the northwestern Wasgau, a hill range which comprises the southern part of the Palatinate Forest in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the northern part of the Vosges in the French departments of Bas-Rhin and Moselle.

Rodalben (German: [ˈʁoːtˌʔalbm̩] ) is a municipality in the Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated in the Palatinate forest, approx. 5 km northeast of Pirmasens. Rodalben is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Rodalben. Having a population above 7000 it is the largest local authority district.

The Hohe List is a hill near Eppenbrunn, in the county of Südwestpfalz in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is 475.8 m high. The Hohe List is the third highest summit in the western part of the Wasgau, a cross-border region that includes the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the northern part of the Vosges in France.
