Del Mar High School (DMHS) is a four-year, public secondary school established in 1959 in San Jose, California. It is part of the Campbell Union High School District, (CUHSD), the other schools in which are Branham, Leigh, Prospect, and Westmont. Most of Del Mar’s students come from the Campbell Union School District’s Monroe Middle School. The school serves both San Jose and Campbell, in addition to some unincorporated pockets of Santa Clara County. In 2016, Del Mar became an International Baccalaureate school. The first class who started the diploma, was the class of 2018. The school mascot of Del Mar is "The Don," and the colors are black, gold, and, officially, white. As of 2012 the school principal is Larry Lopez. In recent years, the school's academic scores have risen significantly, most notably by reaching an API (Academic Performance Index) score of 720 in 2011, a jump of 122 points since 2004. In 2007, it was officially deemed a “California Distinguished School.”

The company manages the eBay website, an online auction and shopping website in which people and businesses buy and sell a wide variety of goods and services worldwide. The website is free to use for buyers, but sellers are charged fees for listing items after a limited number of free listings, and an additional or separate fee when those items are sold.In addition to eBay's original auction-style sales, the website has evolved and expanded to include: instant "Buy It Now" shopping; shopping by Universal Product Code, ISBN, or other kind of SKU number (via Half.com, which was shut down in 2017); and other services. eBay previously offered online money transfers as part of its services (via PayPal, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay from 2002 to 2015); online classified advertisements (via Kijiji, or eBay Classifieds Group); and online event ticket trading (via StubHub). Hamilton is an elevated light rail station located over East Hamilton Avenue, after which the station is named, near its intersection with Creekside Way and California State Route 17, in Campbell, California. The station is owned by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and is served by the Green Line of the VTA light rail system. The station has a single track used by trains traveling in both directions.

The Pruneyard Shopping Center is a 250,000 sq ft (23,000 m2) open-air shopping center located in Campbell, California, at the intersection of Campbell Avenue and Bascom Avenue, just east of State Route 17. Built in the 1960s as the PruneYard Shopping Center, it includes in addition to shops an inn, as of July 2017 a DoubleTree by Hilton, and a movie theater originally built in 1964 and also three office towers built in 1970, one of which is the tallest building in the area outside downtown San Jose.

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, commonly known as Valley Medical Center or simply Valley Medical, is a prominent 731-bed public tertiary, teaching, and research hospital in San Jose, California. Located in the Fruitdale neighborhood of West San Jose, Valley Medical Center is the anchor facility of the Santa Clara County Health System, serving Santa Clara County. Valley Medical is home to numerous innovative research and care centers, such as the Rehabilitation Trauma Center, the only federally-designated spinal cord injury center in Northern California.

Fruitdale is a district of San Jose, California, located in West San Jose, though some portions are still unincorporated as a census-designated place. The population of the CDP was 935 at the 2010 census.

The Rehabilitation Trauma Center (RTC) at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) was founded in 1972 and is part of the only federally designated spinal cord injury center in Northern California. The center is one of the oldest spinal cord injury neurointensive care units in the United States and participated in the original National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research Database collecting retrospective data to 1973. The center is currently a ten-bed unit based in the Sobrato Pavilion's Respiratory Rehabilitation Unit (opened in 2017) under the direction of Dr. Stephen L. McKenna. The center is known for ventilator weaning after catastrophic neurological injury.The center is notable for clinical research in cellular therapies for neurological disease. In the first US clinical trial of hESC based therapies for spinal cord injury, 40% of the patients in the trial were enrolled through the Rehabilitation Trauma Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. In the subsequent dose escalation trial, the Center treated the first patient in the nation with complete (AIS-A) cervical spinal cord injury at the highest dose of 20 million cells of AST-OPC1 (oligodendrocyte progenitor cells); as well as, the first incomplete spinal cord injury (AIS-B). The results of the 10 million cells cohort showed a doubling of the expected rate of recovery from traumatic spinal cord injury. The center is a clinical program site in the Stanford Partnership for Spinal Cord Injury and Repair.The center is a core facility for Stanford residents and fellows in training. Stanford Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents learn the acute care of patients with catastrophic neurological injuries through consultation in the Rehabilitation Trauma Center. The Stanford/VA Advanced Fellowship Program in Advanced Spinal Cord Injury Medicine features the center as a core training site for the management of acute neurological injury.

San José City College (SJCC) is a public community college in San Jose, California. Founded in 1921, SJCC is located in the West San Jose neighborhood of Fruitdale.

Fruitdale is a light rail station in the Fruitdale neighborhood of San Jose, California, operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). The station has a center platform situated between two trackways. Fruitdale station is served by the Green Line of the VTA Light Rail system.

The Galindo-Leigh House is a historic house in Campbell, California. It was built in the 1830s for Juan Crisostobal Galindo, who became the Major Domo of the Mission Santa Clara a decade later. Galindo expanded the house in the 1840s. It was purchased by John D. Gueraz in 1857, and by Delicia Leigh, in 1874. Leigh was an aristocrat whose father, Alexander Leigh, who was a surgeon, had treated Napoleon. The property has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 22, 1980.

Ainsley House is a 1925 California Arts and Crafts house in Campbell, California, built in the style of an English Tudor Cotswold cottage. The house and accompanying carriage house (now the Wyland R. Morgan Gallery) were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. It is now a museum and is open to the public. The house was the third home of Campbell canning pioneer John Colpitts Ainsley (1860–1937) and his wife, Alcinda (1875-1939), and was originally located on the southwest corner of their 83-acre (340,000 m2) orchard at the northeast corner of Hamilton and Johnson (now Bascom) Avenues. After J.C. Ainsley's death in 1937, Alcinda left the house, living with friends until her death in 1939. The house remained in the family, but with the exception of occasional Christmas seasons and social events over the years, was vacant, though well-tended, for decades. The Ainsley family donated the house, its furnishings and the carriage house to the City of Campbell in 1989 and they were moved to their present location at 300 Grant Street in Downtown Campbell in 1990. The house museum, Morgan Gallery and nearby Campbell Historical Museum are supported by the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House Foundation.

The Captain James A. Hamilton House is a historic house in San Jose, California. It was built in 1882 for James A. Hamilton, his wife, née Anna Thrum, and their children. Hamilton was a sailor.The house was designed in the Italianate and Queen Anne architectural styles. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 9, 1980.
