St Thomas' Church, Preston

English Martyrs Church or its full name The Church of St Thomas of Canterbury and the English Martyrs is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Preston, Lancashire. It was designed by Edward Welby Pugin and is under the administration of the Diocese of Lancaster. It is near to Preston city centre and stands on the corner of the A6, between Aqueduct Street and St George's Road. Since 2017, it has been in the care of priests from the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.

All Saints Church is located in Elizabeth Street, Preston, Lancashire, England. It is an evangelical Anglican parish church in the deanery of Preston, the archdeaconry of Lancaster, and the diocese of Blackburn. The church was built in 1846-1848 for the sum of £2000. It was built in the Classical style with six Ionic columns supporting a pedimented portico facade, and is now Grade II listed. It was one of the few churches in the country to be built by subscription and set up under Private Patronage. Nathan Buttery was inducted on 10 January to become the new vicar of All Saints, after their interregnum as their previous vicar, Daf Meirion-Jones, moved to Chessington Evangelical Church.

The ward was created in 2002 for the 2002 Preston Council election, taking in the terraces running from Deepdale Road to St Paul's Road adjacent to Moor Park, running south towards the city centre. The eastern parts of the University of Central Lancashire campus in included within the St George's boundaries. Its name comes from the main road running east–west from Deepdale Road to the A6 Garstang Road. Two members of Preston City Council, elected 'in thirds' in first past the post elections each year, are returned from the ward. The ward forms part of the Lancashire County Council electoral division of Preston Central South.

Preston Crown Court, or more properly the Crown Court at Preston, is a criminal court on the Ring Way in Preston, Lancashire, England. The court is based on two sites in the city; Preston Combined Court Centre on Ringway and Sessions House on Lancaster Road. As a first tier court centre, the court deals with all types of cases that are heard in the Crown Court as well as being a trial centre for civil High Court cases; it is also a venue for the County Court where smaller civil cases and family cases are dealt with.

The Black Horse is a Grade II listed public house at 166 Friargate, Preston, Lancashire, England PR1 2EJ.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. It is one of only 14 pubs to still have a ceramic bar counter. It still has many other historic features such as the ceramic fireplaces and wall tiles, a mosaic floor, stained glass and fixed seating. It was built in 1898, and the architect was J. A. Seward, for the Atlas Brewery Company of Manchester. and is currently owned by Robinsons Brewery.

The Corn Exchange is a former commercial building in Preston, Lancashire, England, which was commissioned as a corn exchange and later used for 90 years as an assembly room and auditorium known as the Public Hall. Much of the structure was demolished in the late 1980s, but the main entrance building survives as a public house, and is a Grade II listed building.
