Raeburn Open Space

Surbiton Lagoon was an open air swimming pool located in Surbiton, London, England. It opened in May 1934 though had been open for business since April, and was situated in Raeburn Avenue in what was then the Surbiton Urban District of Surrey. It was situated on the 418 bus route of London Transport (London Country Buses from 1 January 1970), and near to Berrylands and Tolworth railway stations. The lagoon complex was designed by the architect HT Mather. The pool had a maximum depth of 9 feet (2.7 m) and a minimum depth of 3 feet (0.91 m). It was 165 ft (50 m) x 90 ft (27 m) - a huge pool by any standards. The lagoon was closed permanently in 1980.

Rose Walk is a 2.7 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Berrylands in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It is also part of the Hogsmill Valley Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade 1.The site is unmanaged grassland with scattered wild flowers. The main grasses are oat grass, tall fescue and rye-grass. It is located south of the Waterloo to Surbiton railway line, west of the Hogsmill River and north of Elmbridge Open Space. There is access at the junction of Surbiton Hill Park and Elmbridge Avenue.

Elmbridge Open Space or Elmbridge Meadows is a Local Nature Reserve in Berrylands in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It is a linear open space along the western bank of the Hogsmill River which starts at Malden Way and ends at a path between Surbiton Hill Park to Green Lane.The site has a variety of names. It is part of the Hogsmill Valley Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade I. It is also called the northern Hogsmill River Park, but Kingston Council has designated a closed wood east of the Hogsmill and north of the A3 road as Hogsmill River Park Local Nature Reserve.The London Loop long-distance walk passes through the site.

Berrylands railway station is a National Rail station in the borough of Kingston upon Thames, London. It is 10 miles 78 chains (17.7 km) south-west of London Waterloo and is situated between New Malden and Surbiton.

Edith Gardens is a 0.44 hectares (1.1 acres) Local Nature Reserve and Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation in Berrylands in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It was designated in 1992.The site is abandoned allotments next to Tolworth Brook. The stream is of low wildlife value as it is in culvert with no vegetation. There is a dense thicket of elms and a trip next to the brook which has mature oak, ash and sycamore trees. Most of the site is grassland dominated by oat grass and cock's foot.The entrance in the road called Edith Gardens, off Raeburn Avenue, is kept locked and there is no public access. As of spring 2021, the social enterprise organization, Citizen Zoo, is working to transform Edith Gardens into a small nature reserve, particularly for people with disabilities to help them engage with nature.

Berrylands is a residential neighbourhood in Surbiton, London, originally forming part of the Municipal Borough of Surbiton, and since 1965 part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is a suburban development situated 10.1 miles (16.3 km) south west of Charing Cross. Nearby places include Surbiton, New Malden, Old Malden, Tolworth and Chessington. Berrylands railway station is 24 minutes from London Waterloo by train.

Hogsmill River Park or Hogsmill Valley is a linear park along the banks of the Hogsmill River in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It stretches from the junction of Surbiton Hill Park and Elmbridge Avenue in Berrylands in the north to the junction between the river and a footpath to Manor Close in Old Malden in the south.Most of the site is grassland, which has a rich variety of wildlife, including locally unusual plants such as grass vetchling, devil's-bit scabious and pepper-saxifrage. Birds which breed on the site include bullfinch, spotted flycatcher, lesser spotted woodpecker.The site is a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade 1. It is also a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) - or several LNRs. Details on Natural England's website are confused. The page for Hogsmill River Park gives the coordinates and description similar to the details on the London Parks and Gardens Trust and Greenspace Information for Greater London, but the map is of a small wood closed to the public called Hogsmill Wood, north of the A3 road and east of the Hogsmill River. Natural England also shows two duplicate LNRs on the same land, Elmbridge Open Space to the north of the A3 and Southwood Open Space to the south.The London Loop walk goes through the park.

Kingsmeadow is a football stadium in Norbiton, Kingston upon Thames, London, which is used for home matches by Chelsea Women and Chelsea U21s. It was formerly the home of Kingstonian F.C. and AFC Wimbledon and has a capacity of 4,850, with 2,265 seats.

Southwood Open Space is a 12.9 hectare Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in Old Malden in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It is a linear park along the Hogsmill River between the Kingston Bypass opposite Elmbridge Avenue and the junction between the Hogsmill and a footpath to Manor Drive North.The name Southwood Open Space is only used on the Natural England database of LNRs, and it is more commonly regarded as part of the Hogsmill River Park or Hogsmill Valley, which extends north to Elmbridge Open Space LNR. Hogsmill Valley is designated a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade 1.The site is mainly grassland, with hedgerows of elm scrub. These were mainly dominated by elm trees until they were destroyed by Dutch Elm Disease.The London Loop long-distance walk goes through the park.

Tolworth is a suburban area in the Surbiton district, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. It is 11 miles (17.7 km) southwest of Charing Cross. Neighbouring places include Long Ditton, New Malden, Kingston, Surbiton, Berrylands, Hinchley Wood, Chessington, Ewell and Worcester Park. Surbiton is the nearest, about a mile to the northwest. Tolworth is divided in two by the A3 Kingston Bypass and is situated slightly north of the Greater London-Surrey border.
