It is part of the Brock Independent School District located in north central Parker County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Brock Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Brock, Texas (USA). Brock's basketball programs (girl's and boy's) have been perennial state powers, including an unusual "double-double" in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003, when both the girl's and boy's teams won consecutive titles. The feat was even more unusual in that, in February 2002, Brock was realigned upward in classification from Class A to Class AA (for the 2002-2003 season), moving it from being one of the largest Class A schools to one of the smallest Class AA schools, yet playing against larger Class AA schools Brock still managed to have both teams repeat as state champions. Brock moved up to Class AAA before the 2014-2015 season. Brock has won 11 state titles overall in basketball: girls in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 and boys in 2002, 2003, and 2015. Brock has since won a state championship in every sport offered; baseball, softball, volleyball, cross country, track, golf, and tennis. Until 2011 Brock was one of the few districts in Texas that did not participate in high school football. In 2011, Brock began playing football at the junior high level, and in 2012 began playing high school football at the junior varsity level; in 2014 the program became varsity level; and a year after, Brock football won state. In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.

Stockton Bend, formerly Brazos Bend, is a city in Hood County, Texas, United States. It was incorporated in May 2004 originally as "Brazos Bend", and is located along the main stem of the Brazos River. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 380. The city is part of the Granbury, Texas Micropolitan Statistical Area. The name was recently changed to "Stockton Bend".

KPIR (1420 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Granbury, Texas, serving Hood County. It is owned by Jerry Reynolds, with the license held by KPIR Granbury, LLC. It airs a classic country radio format, featuring Texas country artists. It also carries Granbury High School football games. Because the team is known as The Pirates, the station calls itself "Pirate 1420." The station broadcasts at 500 watts using a directional antenna at all times. It transmits from a three tower array in the daytime and from two towers at night. In addition to its broadcasts, the station can be heard streaming on its website.

Granbury Regional Airport (ICAO: KGDJ, FAA LID: GDJ, formerly F55) is a city-owned, public-use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) west of the central business district of Granbury, a city in Hood County, Texas, United States. Formerly known as Granbury Municipal Airport, it is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned GDJ by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA (which assigned GDJ to Gandajika Airport in Gandajika, DR Congo).

Raymond E. Curtis Field is a baseball park located in Weatherford, Texas. It is the home of the Weatherford High School Kangaroos baseball team.

Tidwell Field is a baseball park located in Granbury, TX and was the home of the Texas Collegiate League Granbury Generals in 2004. It is also the home of the Granbury Pirates baseball team.

Granbury Independent School District is a public school district based in Granbury, Texas (USA). In addition to Granbury, the district serves the eastern Hood County cities of DeCordova and Stockton Bend (formerly Brazos Bend), and the majority of Cresson. The district boundary also includes the unincorporated communities of Canyon Creek, Oak Trail Shores, and Pecan Plantation. Small portions of Parker, Johnson, and Somervell counties also lie within the district. In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2022, the district was involved in controversy around the actions of superintendent Jeremy Glenn, who specifically ordered district librarians to remove books with LGBTQ themes and characters. Legal experts said that these actions raised constitutional concerns of illegal discrimination.
