Eugenia is a small community in the municipality of Grey Highlands, Grey County, in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, located just north of the community of Flesherton. An unincorporated hamlet of Artemesia Township for most of its history, Eugenia was amalgamated into the Grey Highlands in 2001. Due to nearby Lake Eugenia, Eugenia Falls, the Bruce Trail and the ski resorts of the Beaver Valley, it has become a popular tourist and cottage destination. The nearby Eugenia Power Station has the highest head of water of any hydroelectric generator in Ontario, and has provided a significant amount of electricity to the provincial grid for a century.

Grey Highlands is a municipality in the southeast corner of Grey County, Ontario, Canada. It was formed on January 1, 2001, by the amalgamation of the village of Markdale and the townships of Artemesia, Euphrasia and Osprey, which included the unincorporated hamlets of Eugenia, Ceylon, Maxwell, Singhampton, Priceville, Kimberley, Badjeros, and Feversham. The former village of Flesherton is also located within the municipality and was amalgamated with Artemesia Township in 1998. According to the 2016 census, the municipality covers a land area of 882 square kilometres and has a population of 9,804. The municipality has a healthy population growth, and its average age (43 years old) is close to that of the provincial average (41 years old). The average household size is 2.5, and the average total income of all households is $94,000. The average after-tax income of households in the municipality is $77,000.

Grey Highlands Secondary School is a Grade 9–12 high school located in Flesherton, Ontario, Canada, in rural Grey County. It was built in 1967.

Flesherton (population 584) is a community in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, in Grey County, Ontario, Canada, located at the junction of Highway 10 and Grey County Road 4 (formerly Highway 4). Although the area initially showed a high rate of growth in the 1850s and its founder believed that it would become an important centre of economic activity, growth stagnated when an all-important rail link bypassed it, and the community never grew larger than a small village. The self-proclaimed "Gateway to the Beaver Valley" recently lost its autonomy as a village when it was amalgamated with the surrounding Artemesia Township.

Wareham is a community in Grey County, Ontario. It is about 80 km northwest of Brampton, Ontario and about 60 km west of Barrie, Ontario. It is south of The Blue Mountains, Ontario and of the Grey Highlands. Wareham is close to the Osprey Wetland Conservation Lands. Both the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority bought land here to protect the headwaters of several important rivers. The Osprey Wetlands are in the headwaters of the Saugeen River, as well as the Grand, the Beaver of Grey County, the Mad, and a tributary of the Nottawasaga River. This Wetland is a raised bog. " Wareham as a community dates back to roughly the European Settlement of this area, about the 1850s. A branch of the Saugeen River runs through the centre of Wareham - and was the reason for settlement here. (The current crossroads of Centre Line A and Sideroad 41.) Originally there were three small water mills grouped around this corner. Remains of one of the largest of these, in the form of poured concrete bracketing the river, can be found to the SE, upstream from the intersection. The Hamlet of Wareham originally included a general store (now the location of the Church Shed / Wareham Forge) on the NW corner, and a blacksmith's shop on the NE corner. A red brick church, located about 50 m to the west on Centre Line, replaced the original wooden structure on the Davison farm about a mile east of the current location, about 1930. The original wood frame school house is located on the east side of SR 41, about 150 m south. (Both the church and the schoolhouse are now private residences.) " It is the home of Darrell Markewitz, an artisan blacksmith who designed the living history program for L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland for Parks Canada. The Wareham Forge has been in operation since 1992 (the old 'Wareham Church Shed' building).

The Georgian Triangle is the name of a geographic region in Southern Ontario containing the counties surrounding Georgian Bay, mostly Nottawasaga Bay, in particular. The main urban centres in the region are Collingwood, Owen Sound, and situated on Lake Simcoe Barrie and Orillia. Recreation and tourism are important parts of this area's economy, with cottages being one of the primary real estates along the coastline. The area overlaps two other regions in Southern Ontario: Southwestern Ontario in the western half and Central Ontario in the eastern half. Some sources include the western half (Bruce and Grey counties) in a subset of Southwestern Ontario called Midwestern Ontario, which stretches southward from those counties to Haldimand and Norfolk counties on Lake Erie). Historically, the Georgian Triangle once formed the western part of "cottage country" in Ontario, but most properties are now lived in year-round. Cottage country is now more associated with areas further north, namely Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton, although cottages are still common on the Bruce Peninsula at the west end of the triangle.

Osprey was a township community in Grey County, Ontario. In 2001 it was amalgamated with the village of Markdale and the townships of Euphrasia and Artemesia to form the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The Blue Mountains is a town in Grey County, southwestern Ontario, Canada, located where the Beaver River flows into Nottawasaga Bay. It is named for the Blue Mountain, and hence the economy of the town is centred on tourism, particularly on the Blue Mountain ski resort and the private Georgian Peaks, Osler, Craigleith and Alpine Ski Clubs. The town was formed on January 1, 2001, when the Town of Thornbury was amalgamated with the Township of Collingwood. Thornbury is home to the architecturally unique L.E. Shore Memorial Library, named after the founding partner of the architectural practice of Shore Tilbe Irwin + Partners, and designed by the firm. During the Southern Ontario Tornado Outbreak of 2009, a tornado passed through the Blue Mountains area on August 20. The tornado passed by Thornbury and hit Craigleith before moving out onto Georgian Bay. Ravenna is the setting for the novel Ravenna Gets by author Tony Burgess.

CFMO-FM (Classical 102.9) is a radio station broadcasting a classical music format on 102.9 MHz FM in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. The station is owned by ZoomerMedia, through licensee MZ Media Inc. It is largely a semi-satellite of ZoomerMedia's CFMZ-FM 96.3 in Toronto.

CKCB-FM is a Canadian radio station broadcasting at 95.1 MHz in Collingwood, Ontario, with an adult contemporary format branded on-air as 95.1 The Peak FM. The station began broadcasting in 1965 on 1400 kHz, until it moved to its current frequency in 1994. The station went through different ownerships over the years and in 2000 was acquired by Corus Entertainment. The original on-air personality, who signed on CKCB at a community reception held at the Collingwood Shriner's Hall on the evening of Tuesday October 12, 1965 was Jim Craig, who went on to enjoy a successful Radio and TV career in SW Ontario and Western Canada prior to moving into teaching. Currently, he is a Professor of Broadcast Studies with the faculty of the Seneca College School of Media at York University in Toronto. Rosemarie Hergott-Henderson and Bob Robinson (Sales) rounded out the sign-on staff of CKCB, and Bill Bramah joined as an announcer after 6 months, and later became well known as host of Global TV's "Bill Bramah's Ontario" and as an historical author. Longtime broadcaster and former morning man John Nichols started at CKCB in 1971. John has received countless awards for his years of service to the Southern Georgian Bay area and he's active with many community organizations. He retired in December 2012.
