Most na Soči

The Idrijca is a river flowing through the Idrija Hills and Cerkno Hills in Slovenia. It is 60 kilometres (37 mi) long. It rises near Vojsko, flows towards northeast and after passing through Idrija turns to the northwest. After passing through Spodnja Idrija and Cerkno it joins the Soča in Most na Soči. It has a pluvio-nival regime and belongs to the Adriatic Sea Basin.The river basin has an area of 598 square kilometres (231 sq mi). The major tributaries are the Belca, Zala, Cerknica, and Bača from the right and the Nikomlja, Kanošica, and Trebušica from the left. One of the right tributaries is also the Jezernica River, which originates from the Wild Lake (Slovene: Divje jezero). Being only 55 m long, the Jezernica is the shortest river in Slovenia. The river has many fish, among which the Salmo marmoratus, the rainbow trout, and the Grayling are noteworthy. In the past, timber was driven down the Idrijca to Idrija to be used as pillars in the Idrija mercury mine. Special logging sluices (Sln. klavže) were employed for this purpose from the 17th until the 19th century. The area of the upper Idrijca has been proclaimed the Upper Idrijca Landscape Park. It encompasses numerous karst features and diverse plant species. During World War II, Pavla Partisan Hospital stood there.

Modrej (pronounced [mɔˈdɾeːi̯]; in older sources also Modreja) is a settlement on the left bank of the Soča River, just north of Most na Soči, in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Logaršče (pronounced [ˈloːɡaɾʃtʃɛ]; in older sources also Logaršče Rakovec) is a dispersed settlement in the hills south of the Bača Valley in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Kozmerice (pronounced [kɔzmɛˈɾiːtsɛ]) is a small settlement on the right bank of the Soča River in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Modrejce (pronounced [mɔˈdɾeːi̯tsɛ]) is a settlement on the right bank of the Soča River north of Most na Soči in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Drobočnik (pronounced [dɾɔˈboːtʃnik]) is a settlement on the left bank of the Soča River south of Most na Soči in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

Postaja (pronounced [pɔˈstaːja]) is a settlement on the left bank of the Idrijca River, southeast of Most na Soči, in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia. It includes the hamlets of Na Lazih (Slovene: Na lazih) and Klohe. The Most na Soči train station is located in Postaja.: 417–418 

Bača pri Modreju (pronounced [ˈbaːtʃa pɾi mɔˈdɾɛːju] or [-ˈdɾeːju]; in older sources also Bača pri Modreji) is a village in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia. It lies at the confluence of the Bača River with the Idrijca River, which in turn joins the Soča River at Most na Soči, northwest of the settlement. The village includes the hamlets of Grapa, Stopec, and Sopotnica.

Prapetno (pronounced [ˈpɾaːpɛtnɔ]) is a settlement on the left bank of the Soča River, southeast of Tolmin, in the Littoral region of Slovenia.

The Bača (pronounced [ˈbaːtʃa]) is a river in northwestern Slovenia with a length of 22 km (14 mi). It runs from Bača pri Podbrdu to Bača pri Modreju, where it joins the Idrijca River as its last right tributary. It has a pluvio-nival regime and belongs to the Adriatic Sea Basin.The Bača River is the basis of the name of the area it flows through, known as the Bača Gorge (Slovene: Baška grapa) or Bača Valley (Slovene: Baška dolina).

Kozaršče (pronounced [kɔˈzaːɾʃtʃɛ]) is a small village northwest of Most na Soči in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.The local church, built on a hill to the north of the settlement, is dedicated to the Holy Name of Mary. It belongs to the Parish of Volče and dates back to the 12th century.

Tolminski Lom (pronounced [tɔlˈmiːnski ˈloːm]) is a settlement in the hills south of Most na Soči in the Municipality of Tolmin in the Littoral region of Slovenia.
