Willowmoore Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Benoni, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches and hosted two matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. The stadium holds 20,000 people. It opened in 1924. After withdrawing their sponsorship from St George's Park in Port Elizabeth, Sahara started sponsoring Willowmoore Park, thus for sponsorship reasons it is known as "Sahara Willowmoore Park".

Benoni is a town in Ekurhuleni municipality, Gauteng, South Africa.Benoni was also the setting for the MTV-inspired movie Crazy Monkey: Straight Outta Benoni, released internationally in 2005.

Wattville is a township south of Benoni in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1941, and by 1948, 400 houses were built on 34 hectares. After 1948, building stopped as it was threatened with destruction. This was because it was considered too close to a white town. However, building continued in 1951 and by 1955 about 2,000 new houses had been erected. The former ANC president Oliver Tambo lived here during the 1950s with his wife Adelaide. Mrs Tambo continued to serve the community and the local Anglican Church congregation, donating food parcels every year to the local senior citizens until she met her untimely death in 2008. She was buried next to her late husband in Wattville. A housing area was established in honour of the iconic couple, aptly named Tamboville with more than 800 families and still growing due to the influx of people into the township. In 2001,the Department of Social Development approved the establishment of a Development Centre in Wattville. The community of Wattville, who have been consulted from the initiation about the Development Centre concept, saw it fit to name the Centre "Adelaide Tambo Development Centre. "It was to honour Dr. Adelaide Tambo's direct socio-economic involvement in Wattville. The Adelaide Tambo Development Centre prides itself to: 1. have the first and only accredited Computer Training Programme in Wattville. 2. train 20 unemployed women sewing and life skills, registered 10 of them into Sewing Cooperatives. 3. have assisted the registered co-operatives to obtain sewing equipment and be beneficiaries of the annual School Uniform Project (SUP) from the Department of Health and Social Development. The Development Centre Managers were/is as follows: 1. The late Mr. Vusumuzi Mpondo (2001 to 2004) 2. Mr. David Boshielo (2001 to 2005 as Project Manager) and (2005 to 2010 as Centre Manager). 3. Mr. Brian Padi (2011 to date as Centre Manager)

PAM Brink Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Springs, South Africa. It has been closed for years due to damage caused by vandalism and financial problems. It was used mostly for football matches. It was the home ground of Benoni Premier United and has long been the lair of the Eastern Transvaal rugby team who plays in the Currie Cup first division. The stadium holds 25,000 people. It takes its name from P.A.M. Brink, who was president of the "sub-federation" of rugby in the Eastern Transvaal (before it became detached from the Transvaal in 1947), and mayor of the town of Springs. It was inaugurated on 3 July 1949, during a game between Eastern Transvaal and the New Zealand All Blacks won by Eastern Transvaal, 6–5. In 1962, Eastern Transvaal recorded another famous victory over a touring test team, this time defeating the British & Irish Lions, 19–16. Two test matches have been played at the ground. In 1964, during their tour of South Africa, France defeated the Springboks, 8–6, in front of over 56,000 spectators, with many fans having to remain outside the stadium. The stadium had to wait almost forty years for its next test match in 2002, with victory for the Springboks against Argentina by 49–29. Since 2006 the stadium has not been in use, it is believed because of finances this has contributed towards its downfall. The stadium has been very badly vandalized and is now illegally a home for homeless people.

Hoërskool Brandwag is an Afrikaans medium school in Uitenhage (Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality), South Africa, with an academic orientation. The school opened in 1937, and is named after a peak in the Drakensberg in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, called "The Sentinel" in English, which appears on the school's emblem. Its motto is "U dienswillige dienaar" (Your obedient servant), which was the title of the autobiography of Afrikaans literary figure Cornelis Jacobus Langenhoven.Athletic teams include rugby and netball.

KwaThema is a township south-west of Springs in the district of Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1951 when Africans were forcibly removed from Payneville because it was considered by the apartheid government to be too close to a white town. The new township's layout was designed along modernist principles and became a model for many subsequent townships, although the envisaged social facilities were not implemented. The typical South African township house, the 51/9, was one of the plans developed for KwaThema. A black local authority with municipal status was established in 1984. In 1985 KwaThema experienced violent unrest and right-wing vigilante activity. KwaThema is a multi-racial township where most of South Africa's eleven official languages are spoken but the predominant ones are Sotho and Zulu. KwaThema has given birth to many successful individuals who have helped in the development of the town.

Springs is a former independent city that is now part of the City of Ekurhuleni, based in the east of Johannesburg (East Rand), in Gauteng Province, South Africa. It lies 50 km (31 mi) east of Johannesburg and 72 km (45 mi) southeast from Pretoria. Its name derives from the large number of springs in the area, and its estimated population is more than 121,610 in 2011. It is situated at 1628 m (5,340 ft) above sea level.Springs was divided during the Apartheid era into the middle- and upper-income white suburbs around the city centre and the Indian area of Bakerton east of the CBD; while black people were relocated to KwaThema, southwest of the CBD.

The City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is a metropolitan municipality that forms the local government of the East Rand region of Gauteng. The municipality itself is a large suburban region east of Johannesburg. The name Ekurhuleni means place of peace in XiTsonga. Ekurhuleni is one of the five districts of Gauteng province and one of the eight metropolitan municipalities of South Africa. The seat of Ekurhuleni is Germiston and the most spoken language is Zulu at 28.8%. The city is home to South Africa's busiest airport, OR Tambo International Airport, which is located in the Kempton Park area of Ekurhuleni.

Boksburg is a city on the East Rand (Ekhuruleni) of Gauteng province of South Africa. Gold was discovered in Boksburg in 1887. Boksburg was named after the State Secretary of the South African Republic, W. Eduard Bok. The Main Reef Road linked Boksburg to all the other major mining towns on the Witwatersrand and the Angelo Hotel (1887) was used as a staging post. Boksburg has been part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since 5 December 2000, which forms the local government of most of the East Rand. The Mining Commissioner Montague White built a large dam which, empty for years, was dubbed White's Folly until a flash flood in 1889 silenced detractors. The 150,000 square metre dam is now the Boksburg Lake, and is surrounded by lawns, trees, and terraces.
