Hoërskool Brandwag is an Afrikaans medium school in Uitenhage (Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality), South Africa, with an academic orientation. The school opened in 1937, and is named after a peak in the Drakensberg in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, called "The Sentinel" in English, which appears on the school's emblem. Its motto is "U dienswillige dienaar" (Your obedient servant), which was the title of the autobiography of Afrikaans literary figure Cornelis Jacobus Langenhoven.Athletic teams include rugby and netball.

Willowmoore Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Benoni, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches and hosted two matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. The stadium holds 20,000 people. It opened in 1924. After withdrawing their sponsorship from St George's Park in Port Elizabeth, Sahara started sponsoring Willowmoore Park, thus for sponsorship reasons it is known as "Sahara Willowmoore Park".

Wattville is a township south of Benoni in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1941, and by 1948, 400 houses were built on 34 hectares. After 1948, building stopped as it was threatened with destruction. This was because it was considered too close to a white town. However, building continued in 1951 and by 1955 about 2,000 new houses had been erected. The former ANC president Oliver Tambo lived here during the 1950s with his wife Adelaide. Mrs Tambo continued to serve the community and the local Anglican Church congregation, donating food parcels every year to the local senior citizens until she met her untimely death in 2008. She was buried next to her late husband in Wattville. A housing area was established in honour of the iconic couple, aptly named Tamboville with more than 800 families and still growing due to the influx of people into the township. In 2001,the Department of Social Development approved the establishment of a Development Centre in Wattville. The community of Wattville, who have been consulted from the initiation about the Development Centre concept, saw it fit to name the Centre "Adelaide Tambo Development Centre. "It was to honour Dr. Adelaide Tambo's direct socio-economic involvement in Wattville. The Adelaide Tambo Development Centre prides itself to: 1. have the first and only accredited Computer Training Programme in Wattville. 2. train 20 unemployed women sewing and life skills, registered 10 of them into Sewing Cooperatives. 3. have assisted the registered co-operatives to obtain sewing equipment and be beneficiaries of the annual School Uniform Project (SUP) from the Department of Health and Social Development. The Development Centre Managers were/is as follows: 1. The late Mr. Vusumuzi Mpondo (2001 to 2004) 2. Mr. David Boshielo (2001 to 2005 as Project Manager) and (2005 to 2010 as Centre Manager). 3. Mr. Brian Padi (2011 to date as Centre Manager)

Boksburg is a city on the East Rand (Ekhuruleni) of Gauteng province of South Africa. Gold was discovered in Boksburg in 1887. Boksburg was named after the State Secretary of the South African Republic, W. Eduard Bok. The Main Reef Road linked Boksburg to all the other major mining towns on the Witwatersrand and the Angelo Hotel (1887) was used as a staging post. Boksburg has been part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since 5 December 2000, which forms the local government of most of the East Rand. The Mining Commissioner Montague White built a large dam which, empty for years, was dubbed White's Folly until a flash flood in 1889 silenced detractors. The 150,000 square metre dam is now the Boksburg Lake, and is surrounded by lawns, trees, and terraces.

O. R. Tambo International Airport (IATA: JNB, ICAO: FAOR) is an international airport serving the twin cities of Johannesburg and the main capital of South Africa, Pretoria. It is situated in Kempton Park, Gauteng. It serves as the primary airport for domestic and international travel for South Africa and since 2020, it is Africa's second busiest airport, with a capacity to handle up to 28 million passengers annually. The airport serves as the hub for South African Airways. The airport handled over 21 million passengers in 2017. It was originally known as Jan Smuts International Airport, after the former South African Prime Minister of the same name. The airport was renamed Johannesburg International Airport in 1994 when the newly elected African National Congress (ANC) government implemented a policy of not naming airports after politicians. This policy was later reversed, and on 27 October 2006 the airport was renamed after anti-apartheid politician Oliver Reginald Tambo (1917–1993).

Bonaero Park is a southeastern suburb of Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, in Gauteng province, South Africa. It lies directly next to OR Tambo International Airport, the busiest airport in Africa. Bonaero Park was built in the 1960s to house employees from the nearby military aircraft factory owned by Atlas Aircraft Corporation. In 1992 Atlas was absorbed into a new entity known as Denel, becoming part of Denel Aviation.

East Rand Proprietary Mines (ERPM) is a 125-year-old underground gold mining operation on the Witwatersrand Basin at Boksburg, to the east of Johannesburg. The mine employed 3,850 people. It was the deepest mine in the world until 2008 at 3,585 metres depth, slightly more than the TauTona mine, also in South Africa, which was 3,581 metres at the time (in 2008 the TauTona mine completed a digging project that extended the depth of the mine by several hundred metres.)The mine closed in 2008. Historical gold production between 1896 and 2008 was 43 Moz at recovered gold grade of 8.1g/t (95% plant recovery). A world class high grade gold deposit remains with existing in situ resources (SAMREC compliant) of 63 Moz, including; - Measured & Indicated resource of 13.6 Moz at 6.7g/t Au - Inferred resources of 50 Moz at 4.92 g/t Au. The Cason mine dump was once the world’s highest manmade mountain. This dump is currently being recycled. It is now a shadow of its former self and will probably disappear in the near future.
