The A 33 road is an A-Grade trunk road in Sri Lanka. It connects Ja Ela with Yakkala. The A 33 passes through Gampaha to reach Yakkala.

Ja-Ela Divisional Secretariat is a Divisional Secretariat of Gampaha District, of Western Province, Sri Lanka.

De Mazenod College (DMC), founded in 1931, is a Catholic school in Kandana, Sri Lanka, now managed by the De La Salle Brothers. Basilica College is a mixed school and has classes from grade 6 to grade 13. Classes are conducted in Sinhala as well as English. The college houses is Gamunu, Vijaya, and Parakum. Old Basilicans Association start with about 15 members was inaugurated in 2015,

Founded during the British era, Ganemulla (Sinhala: ගණේමුල්ල, Tamil: கணேமுல்லை) is a midsize town situated in the Gampaha District of Sri Lanka. Ganemulla is about 9 km (5.6 mi) from Kadawatha on the Colombo-Kandy road. The nearest city to Ganemulla is Gampaha, which is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) away. Ganemulla is surrounded by the towns of Kadawatha, Gampaha, Ja-Ela and Kandana. The population in Ganemulla now exceeds 6,000 and is increasing. The majority of the population are Sinhalese Buddhist, with a small Catholic minority.The Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment is based in Ganemulla.

Batuwatta is a town situated approximately 4 km from the town of Ganemulla, in the Gampaha District of Sri Lanka. It belongs to the Ja-Ela Electoral District.

Yagoda (Sinhala: යාගොඩ) is a small town situated approximately 2 km (1.2 mi) from Gampaha and 21 km (13 mi) to the north-east of Colombo. It falls within the Gampaha Electorate.

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya located in Ragama, is one of eleven state medical schools in Sri Lanka. It is on a 35-acre (140,000 m2) campus at Ragama, and the faculty began classes with the admission of 120 students in September 1991. Before that it was called the North Colombo Medical College (NCMC).

The Basilica of Our Lady of Lanka (Sinhala: ලංකා අප ස්වාමිදුවගේ බැසිලිකාව, romanized: Laṁkā Apa Svāmiduvagē Bæsilikāva; Tamil: லங்கா மாதா பேராலயம், romanized: Laṅkā Mātā Pērālayam) is a Roman Catholic basilica in Tewatte, Sri Lanka. Being thus in a somewhat distant suburb of Colombo, it comes under the purview of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Colombo and is a site of pilgrimage for Sri Lankan Catholics. The church is home to the venerated statue of Our Lady of Lanka.

Asgiriwalpola (Sinhala: අස්ගිරිවල්පොල, Tamil: அஸ்கிரிவால்போலா) is a small village in Minuwangoda Divisional Secretariat of Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka.
