Derental is a municipality in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Nienover is a rural village in the Solling region of Lower Saxony, Germany. It contains one of the largest deserted medieval towns in northern Europe. Nienover is an Ortschaft of the municipality Bodenfelde, which contains the villages Nienover, Amelith and Polier. It covers an area of 3.56 km2 (1.37 sq mi) and has 355 inhabitants (2021), most of which in Amelith.

Helmarshausen is a village and a part (Stadtteil) of the town of Bad Karlshafen in Hesse, central Germany. It was formerly the location of Helmarshausen Abbey, an Imperial abbey (Reichsabtei) of the Holy Roman Empire. Helmarshausen lies on the river Diemel, 1.5 km south of Bad Karlshafen proper.

Helmarshausen Abbey (German: Kloster Helmarshausen) was a Benedictine monastery situated in the small town of Helmarshausen, now part of Bad Karlshafen in Hesse, Germany.

Bad Karlshafen (German: [baːt kaʁlsˈhaːfn̩] ) is a baroque, thermal salt spa town in the district of Kassel, in Hesse, Germany. It has 2300 inhabitants in the main ward of Bad Karlshafen, and a further 1900 in the medieval village of Helmarshausen. It is situated at the confluence of the Diemel and Weser rivers, 15 km south of Höxter, and 37 km north of Kassel.

Boffzen is an unincorporated area in the German district of Holzminden. It is named after the bordering municipality Boffzen. It is located in the Solling.

Herstelle Abbey, otherwise Abbey of the Holy Cross, Herstelle, is a house of Benedictine nuns in Herstelle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The abbey was founded in 1899 on the site of a former convent of the Minorites. In 1924, it was raised to the status of an abbey, and became a member of the Beuronese Congregation within the Benedictine Confederation. In 1962, the nuns of Herstelle founded the priory of Engelthal. Besides the normal duties of hospitality, the nuns also work in handicrafts.

The Hilmersberg is a hill, 362 metres above sea level in the Solling, a hill range in the German state of Lower Saxony. It lies west of Kammerborn and east of Polier, part of the borough of Bodenfelde in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park.

Fürstenberg (German pronunciation: [ˈfʏʁstn̩ˌbɛʁk] ) is a municipality in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany and lies on the Weser river in the Weser Uplands, near Höxter and Holzminden. The Fürstenberg China Factory, founded in 1747, is the third-oldest porcelain manufacturer in Germany.

The Fürstenberg China Factory (German: Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg) was founded on 11 January 1747 in Fürstenberg, on the Weser river, by Johann Georg von Langen at the direction of Duke Charles I of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. It is the second oldest porcelain manufacturer in Germany that still operates on its original site. From 1888, the operation was turned into a public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft). In 1966, the firm became a limited liability company (GmbH) with its parent company, Braunschweig GmbH, and therefore a 100 per cent subsidiary of NORD/LB. Its current managing director is Stephanie Saalfeld.
