Virreyes is a town located in the San Fernando Partido of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban conurbation.

The University of San Andrés (Spanish: Universidad de San Andrés) is a private university located in Victoria, Buenos Aires, Argentina on the shores of the Rio de la Plata, in the metropolitan area of Greater Buenos Aires. It is a small institution, with approximately 900 undergraduate students and 500 graduate students. It is served by one of the largest private libraries in the country, Max von Buch. Maintaining over 70,000 volumes, the library was recognized by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation though their Program for Latin American Libraries and Archives. The university provides more than 70 study abroad programs with universities in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Australia. San Andrés is the first institution in Argentina to offer a double degree accredited by Grandes Ecoles ESCP-Europe.The Universidad de San Andrés is one of the only two liberal arts colleges in Argentina, along with Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. The main campus is located in the town of Victoria, San Fernando Partido (a northern suburb of Buenos Aires). It also has offices in downtown Buenos Aires.

The Luján River (Spanish, Río Luján) runs from its source near Espora about 100 kilometres (62 mi) east of Buenos Aires, Argentina, to its outflow into the Río de la Plata north of the city. The first Megatherium fossil was found here in 1789.

Villa Ocampo is the former house of Victoria Ocampo (1890 – 1979), one of Argentina's greatest cultural figures, founder and director of Sur magazine. The house is located in San Isidro, in the province of Buenos Aires, approximately 30 km north of the city of Buenos Aires.

Beccar is a town located 17 km (11 mi) north of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is part of the partido of San Isidro in Gran Buenos Aires. It is situated close to the historic town of San Isidro and it is characterized by tree lined streets and plazas, red tiled roofed style chalets, high-rise apartment buildings that line the Avenida Centenario zone and by being close to the coast of Rio de la Plata river and yacht clubs. Nearby there is a large shanty town (Villa La Cava). Beccar is served by a 10-minute walk to scenic Tren de la Costa light rail line at Punta Chica station and the commuter railway at Beccar station with easy access to Buenos Aires city centre and the weekend retreat of the Village of Tigre.

Acassuso is a town located in San Isidro Partido of Buenos Aires Province. It is located about 16 kilometres north of the city of Buenos Aires, in between Olivos and San Isidro. It is seaside town, and many flock here to access the beaches and other shoreline activities. It is served by two commuter train services, the Tren de la Costa tourist railway line and the Mitre line.

Astilleros Argentinos Río de La Plata S.A. (mostly known for its acronym ASTARSA, which can be roughly translated as Argentine Shipyards of Río de la Plata) was an Argentine shipyard. Its core business was building and repairing ships and locomotives. It also manufactured pipes, industrial machinery, and tractors. It went out of business in 1994.
