The Golden Horseshoe (French: Fer à cheval doré) is a secondary region of Southern Ontario, Canada, which lies at the western end of Lake Ontario, with outer boundaries stretching south to Lake Erie and north to Lake Scugog, Lake Simcoe and Georgian Bay of Lake Huron. The region is the most densely populated and industrialized in Canada. Based on the 2021 census, with a population of 7,759,635 people in its core and 9,765,188 in its greater area, the Golden Horseshoe accounts for over 20 percent of the population of Canada and more than 54 percent of Ontario's population. It is part of the Quebec City–Windsor Corridor, itself part of the Great Lakes megalopolis. The core of the Golden Horseshoe starts from Niagara Falls at the eastern end of the Niagara Peninsula and extends west, wrapping around the western end of Lake Ontario at Hamilton and then turning northeast to Toronto (on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario), before finally terminating at Clarington in Durham Region. The term Greater Golden Horseshoe is used to describe a broader region that stretches inland from the core to the area of the Trent–Severn Waterway, such as Peterborough, in the northeast, to Barrie and Lake Simcoe in the north, and to the Grand River area, including centres such as Brantford, Waterloo Region, and Guelph to the west. The extended region's area covers approximately 33,500 km2 (13,000 sq mi), out of this, 7,300 km2 (2,800 sq mi) or approximately 22 per cent of the area is covered by the environmentally protected Greenbelt. The Greater Golden Horseshoe forms the neck of the Ontario Peninsula.

Streetsville (pop. 47,327) is a neighbourhood located in the northwestern corner of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on the Credit River. Although Streetsville occupies the west and east banks of the river, the majority is located on the west bank of the river. A town prior to the 1974 amalgamations that formed the City of Mississauga, it seeks to keep a "small town" charm by retaining a variety of historical buildings and streetscapes. As part of this attempt to maintain a separate identity from the larger city, the names of two main Mississauga streets, as they pass through Streetsville, retain the names they had when Streetsville was an independent village: Mississauga Road and Bristol Road, which remain as Queen Street and Main Street respectively. Other main thoroughfares that pass through or near Streetsville include Britannia Road, Creditview Road, Eglinton Avenue, and Erin Mills Parkway.

The Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Mississauga is an eparchy for all Syro-Malabar Catholics in Canada. It comprises 72 parishes, which include both churches and missions, with churches or missions in all the provinces of Canada, and one territory. It is currently the second largest diocese in the world by area, after the Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy of the United States of America and Canada stretching from the east coast of Canada all the way through the prairies and to the west coast, covering the whole of Canada.

Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto (Chinese: 多倫多佛光山; pinyin: duō lún duō fó guāng shān) was built to serve as a cultural, educational, community and spiritual centre for Chinese Buddhism and those interested in Buddhist teachings and practice. Founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1991 and completed in 1997, Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto (FGS Toronto) is one of the over 400 Fo Guang Shan Temples worldwide. It was founded with the intention to propagate Humanistic Buddhism to the local community in the Greater Toronto Area, which emphasizes bringing Buddhist teaching into our daily lives and maintaining harmony with the environment, society, each other and within ourselves. The Toronto Buddhist temple branch is located in Mississauga, Ontario, and also operates satellite Dharma centres (Buddha's Light Center) in Markham and Kitchener-Waterloo. The Mississauga facility is approximately 50,000 square feet, and provides many modern functions and services while presenting traditional Chinese temple architecture and style. The building includes a magnificent main shrine, tea house (Water Drop Teahouse), traditional Chan meditation hall, Buddhist cultural museum, library, and bookstore. The Buddha's Light Centres were built to offer members in the eastern portions of the Greater Toronto Area who may not be able to travel to the Mississauga branch.

West Credit Secondary School is a high school in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is a workplace or college destination for the Peel District School Board. Its cousin school, Judith Nyman Secondary School is a high school in Brampton, Ontario, Canada that offers similar trades courses. West Credit and Judith Nyman are currently the only two vocational schools in the Peel District School Board and offer students more choices in trades courses than most other Peel high schools. West Credit S.S. is aimed at students who want to pursue a career in the trades, or sometimes it is recommended for those with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) at the vocational 1 and 2 level. Both high schools offer vocational and applied level courses. Students can participate in programs leading to apprenticeship and can work towards their required apprenticeship courses and training upon completing their Ontario Secondary School Diplomas. West Credit also offers an Applied Skilled Trades program and a Doggy Daycare co-op program.

Meadowvale GO Station is a GO Transit railway station on the Milton line in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 6845 Millcreek Drive near Derry Road West and Winston Churchill Blvd., in the City of Mississauga in the community of Meadowvale. As with most GO stations, Meadowvale offers parking for commuters, and ticket sales with an attendant during the morning rush hour. In addition to the trains, Meadowvale is served by train-buses outside the rush hours and in the reverse commute direction, by the Milton–Yorkdale–York Mills GO Bus route, by the Highway 407 express buses to Highway 407 Bus Terminal, and by Mississauga Transit buses. Although ridership on the Milton line has grown beyond GO's expectations, the tracks are already busy with Canadian Pacific Railway freight traffic. While it is possible to increase the number of trains, Canadian Pacific Railway will not allow it unless a third GO Transit dedicated right of way track is built. In order to increase capacity, GO Transit has extended the rail platform to accommodate trains with twelve carriages rather than the current ten. As a temporary solution, extensive train-bus services help alleviate congestion.

Meadowvale Community Centre and Library is a library branch under the Mississauga Library System and a community centre located in the Meadowvale neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario. The Meadowvale Community Centre was officially opened in January 1982. The original building was 43,500 square feet, including a pool, fitness centre with racquetball and squash courts, meetings rooms (including a large auditorium) and lobby space.In 2014, the community centre was closed for redevelopment by the City of Mississauga. The redevelopment of Meadowvale Community Centre was a priority for the City with an estimated budget of $37 million (CDN). The demolition and rebuilding of the centre were aimed to improve public accessibility, update mechanical systems, enlarge program space and add a therapeutic pool in response to the changing recreational needs of the community. The redevelopment was also an opportunity to incorporate the Meadowvale Library into this expanding facility.The Meadowvale Community Centre and Library were re-opened in September 2016 after 2 years of construction. It is the City of Mississauga's first Community Centre to pursue a LEED certification (silver).

Streetsville GO Station is a GO Transit railway station on the Milton line in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the community of Streetsville in Mississauga. Like most GO stations, Streetsville offers parking for commuters, a bus loop, a station building housing ticket sales and a waiting room. There is limited external exposed shelter for bus passengers. A new lot with 135 additional spaces was constructed in 2015.Although ridership on the Milton line has grown beyond GO's expectations, it is not possible to run more trains because the tracks are already busy with Canadian Pacific Railway freight traffic. In order to increase capacity, GO plans to extend the platforms to accommodate trains with twelve carriages rather than the current ten. As a temporary solution, extensive train-bus services help alleviate congestion.Streetsville is one of several stations on the Milton Line, along with Dixie and Milton to offer facilities for mobility challenged passengers.
