The Tucson Ring meteorite is a brezinaite meteorite fragment, first described by Bunch and Fuchs. It was reported as one of several masses of virgin iron found at the foot of the Sierra de la Madera and transported to the plaza of Tucson, Arizona circa 1850, where it was used as an anvil in a blacksmith's shop.

Green Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 22,616 at the 2020 census.

The Titan Missile Museum, also known as Air Force Facility Missile Site 8 or as Titan II ICBM Site 571-7, is a former ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) site located about 40 km (25 mi) south of Tucson, Arizona in the United States. It was constructed in 1963 and deactivated in 1984. It is now a museum run by the nonprofit Arizona Aerospace Foundation and includes an inert Titan II missile in the silo, as well as the original launch facilities. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1994. It is the only Titan II complex to survive from the late Cold War period.

Sahuarita is a town in Pima County, Arizona, United States. Sahuarita is located south of the Tohono O'odham Nation and abuts the north end of Green Valley, 15 miles (24 km) south of Tucson. The population was 35,638 at the 2022 census.

Elephant Head is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 612 at the 2010 census.

Twin Buttes is a populated place on the east flank of the Sierrita Mountains approximately twenty miles south of Tucson, in Pima County, Arizona, United States. Named after a prominent hill located next to the town, Twin Buttes was founded as a small mining town circa 1903 and abandoned around 1930. Much of the actual town site is now buried underneath mine tailings, and all that remains is the Twin Buttes Cemetery.

Sahuarita High School ("SHS") is a high school located in Sahuarita, Arizona under the jurisdiction of the Sahuarita Unified School District. The school is located a few miles south of Tucson. The 153,000-square-foot (14,200 m2), $11 million ($19.7 million in 2022 dollars) campus, built in 1998 to house 1,100 students, consists of a student services/media center; three two-story classroom buildings; an art and music building, carpentry shop; and an auto shop/technology building.

East Sahuarita was a census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,419 at the 2000 census. The CDP comprises the unincorporated neighborhoods east of incorporated Sahuarita.

The Santa Rita Experimental Range and Wildlife Area is the longest continuously active rangeland research facility and among the five oldest biological field stations in the United States. Located south of Tucson in Pima County, Arizona, the 52,000 acre Santa Rita Experimental Range (SRER) was founded in 1903 and administered by the United States Forest Service until 1987, when the University of Arizona College of Agriculture took over administration of the site. The mission at the SRER is "to advance research and education on the ecology and management of desert rangelands through the secure, long-term access to research areas, state-of-the-art facilities, new discoveries, and research legacies."

Sahuarita Lake is an artificial lake located 18 miles (29 km) south of downtown Tucson in Sahuarita, Arizona. The lake was created in 2000 and opened for public use in 2001.

Walden Grove High School is the second comprehensive high school in the town of Sahuarita, Arizona, operated by the Sahuarita Unified School District. It opened in August 2011 to freshmen and sophomores. The school opened with an enrollment of over 400 freshmen and sophomores and currently has approximately 1112 students.

Huerfano Butte (English: "Orphan Butte") is a small rocky butte located on the western flank of the Santa Rita Mountains in southeastern Pima County, Arizona. With an elevation of 3,992 ft (1,217 m), Huerfano Butte is one of the dominant landmarks in the 52,000-acre (21,000 ha) Santa Rita Experimental Range, as well as an important prehistoric archaeological site.
