South Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery is a historic home located at South Salem, Westchester County, New York. The cemetery was established in the 18th century, perhaps as early as 1710. It has a total of 373 identified graves, ranging in date from 1739 to 1928. Burials include veterans of the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and War of 1812. It includes a number of notable 18th and 19th century grave markers.: 3–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

South Salem is a hamlet in the Town of Lewisboro, Westchester County, in the U.S. state of New York. Part of the New York metropolitan area, the town center has a post office, town hall, library, and recycling center. Notable residents have included the 33rd Vice President of the United States Henry A. Wallace, Major John Andre (British spy held captive), Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, photographer O. The Osborn–Bouton–Mead House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

West Mountain is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is on the west side of Ridgefield and is bordered to the west by the towns of North Salem and Lewisboro in Westchester County, New York. The West Mountain Historic District occupies 425 acres (172 ha) at the center of the CDP, and newer residences occupy portions of the remainder of the CDP. West Mountain was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Round Pond is located in Ridgefield, Connecticut, USA. Formed by a receding glacier, it is public and is 32 acres (130,000 m2) in size. The pond drains across the state boundary to the state of New York into the Cross River Reservoir, providing an initial flow to New York City. Once used as a reservoir for city water for Ridgefield, the spring-fed aqueduct is no longer used for that purpose. The pond gets an average of 4.44 inches (113 mm) of precipitation per month, and is at an elevation of 797 feet (243 m) above sea level. A fishing ban enacted in the mid-19th century stands today, and the pond is no longer available for fishing.

The West Mountain Historic District is a 425-acre (172 ha) historic district northwest of the center of Ridgefield, Connecticut in Fairfield County, Connecticut that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It includes 12 contributing buildings. It is roughly centered on the junction of West Mountain Road and Oreneca Road, between Ridgefield center and the state line. It includes five large country estates developed in the early 20th century. Its "grandest" house is "Orenica", described as "a 1932 Georgian Revival style stone structure of considerable pretension" that was home of Philip Dakin Wagoner (1876-1972), chairman of the board of the Underwood Typewriter Company.: 2, 13 

The Homestead is a historic home located at Waccabuc, Westchester County, New York. It has five contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The main house, known as The Homestead, was built between 1820 and 1822 in the Federal style by the locally prominent Mead family. It has a four bay wide main block with a three bay ell. The frame building sits on a cut stone foundation. Also on the property is a 19th-century barn, four room cottage, tool shed (c. 1900), chicken house (c. 1900), and well house. The Mead family built the separately listed Mead Memorial Chapel.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Waccabuc is a hamlet and lake in the town of Lewisboro, Westchester County, New York, United States. Waccabuc is considered "New York's Secret Suburb" and is home to a "collection of privacy-loving C.E.O.s and bright stars in other firmaments," according to an Upstart Business Journal article about the tremendous number of notable residents in a hamlet of just a few hundred people. Waccabuc is known by many outside of the town for its Castle Rock.Before becoming its own hamlet, Waccabuc was originally a vacation retreat established by the Mead family, who are considered one of the First Families of Westchester. The retreat prided itself for having no "tramps, bars, or malaria." A couple of the hamlet's handful of roads, such as "Tarry-a-Bit," are named after the vacation house they originally served. Waccabuc Country Club's main clubhouse sits at the site of one of the original vacation houses.On July 1, 1956, Marilyn Monroe wed Arthur Miller in a Jewish ceremony at a private house in Waccabuc. Their nuptials were celebrated at the home of Miller's literary agent, Kay Brown. Some 30 friends and relatives attended the hastily arranged party.The Mead Memorial Chapel and The Homestead are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Waccabuc Historic District was listed on July 28, 2015.

Mead Memorial Chapel is a historic Episcopal chapel at 2 Chapel Road in the hamlet of Waccabuc, town of Lewisboro, Westchester County, New York. It was designed by Hobart B. Upjohn (1876-1949) and built in 1905–1906 in a late Gothic Revival style. It is a rectangular stone building with a steep slate roof. A wing was added in 1929, known as Mead Memorial Hall, and it houses the Mead family archives. It features a bell tower pierced by Gothic arch shaped louvered windows. It was built by Sarah Frances Studwell Mead as a memorial to her husband, George Washington Mead (1827-1899). The Mead family also owned the separately listed The Homestead. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Frederic Remington House is a historic house at 36 Oak Knoll Road in Ridgefield, Connecticut. A National Historic Landmark, it was the home of the painter and sculptor Frederic Remington (1861–1909) in the last few months of his life. Remington and his wife Eva designed the two-story gambrel-roofed, fieldstone-and-shingle house. He produced some of his finest work in the house including the sculpture The Stampede and the painting The Love Call. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965.

Mamanasco Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is northwest of the center of Ridgefield and surrounds a lake of the same name. Mamanasco Lake was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

It was ranked 119th in Newsweek's 2015 list of the top 1,600 high schools in America and 226th in U.S. News & World Report's 2012 list of the top 4,813 high schools.
