Traben-Trarbach

Traben-Trarbach is a Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district Bernkastel-Wittlich, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Its seat of administration is in Traben-Trarbach. On 1 July 2014 it was expanded with the municipalities of the former Verbandsgemeinde Kröv-Bausendorf. The Verbandsgemeinde Traben-Trarbach consists of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"): Bausendorf Bengel Burg Diefenbach Enkirch Flußbach Hontheim Irmenach Kinderbeuern Kinheim Kröv Lötzbeuren Reil Starkenburg Traben-Trarbach Willwerscheid

Grevenburg was a castle in Traben-Trarbach in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. It was the residence of the Rear County of Sponheim and today is a ruin following its destruction by the French in 1734.

Franz Wilhelm Langguth Erben GmbH & Co. KG was a German winery headquartered in Traben-Trarbach. With annual production of about 50 million bottles and sales of about €108 million, Langguth was among the largest wine producers in the country. The company was founded in 1789 by Franz Wilhelm Langguth. Today it is best known internationally for its Blue Nun brand, and domestically for its Erben and Medinet brands. It also produces the herbal liqueur Wurzelpeter under its Berliner Bärensiegel brand. The winery was acquired by Les Grands Chais de France (GCF) in the spring of 2024, a French conglomerate that focuses on wine and spirit sales. Subsequently, in the span of less than 2 months after the takeover, the GCF group announced the closure of the Traben-Trarbach site for what they claimed to be a "lack of profitability," ending the more than 2 centuries old winemaking history of Langguth in the region Traben-Trarbach by August 31, 2024.

On 1 July 2014 it merged into the Verbandsgemeinde Traben-Trarbach. Its seat of administration was in the village Kröv, which is situated on the river Moselle, approx. 15 km east of Wittlich. Kröv-Bausendorf consisted of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"): Bausendorf Bengel Diefenbach Flußbach Hontheim Kinderbeuern Kinheim Kröv Reil Willwerscheid

Staffelter Hof is a family run winery, distillery and guest house situated in the small town of Kröv. It is situated in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the oldest winery in the world that is still running, and is also the sixth oldest company in the world that remains open.

The Graach Gate (German: Graacher Tor) is the last remaining town gate of the German town of Bernkastel-Kues. The name Graach refers to the neighbouring village of Graach connected by a narrow road to the gate. Currently the building is used as a museum of local history.

The Cusanusstift (St. Nikolaus-Hospital) is a historic building in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany. It was founded by Nicholas of Cusa in 1458. It contains a world-famous library and a wine museum. Manuscript 52 in its library contains the only complete copy of the Proverbia Grecorum.

Bernkastel-Kues (German pronunciation: [ˌbɛʁnkastl̩ˈkuːs] ) is a town on the Middle Mosel in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a well-known winegrowing centre. The town is a state-recognized health resort (Erholungsort), seat of the Verbandsgemeinde of Bernkastel-Kues and birthplace of one of the most famous German polymaths, the mediaeval churchman and philosopher Nikolaus von Kues (Cusanus).
