Kröv

Kröv-Bausendorf is a former Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district Bernkastel-Wittlich, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. On 1 July 2014 it merged into the Verbandsgemeinde Traben-Trarbach. Its seat of administration was in the village Kröv, which is situated on the river Moselle, approx. 15 km east of Wittlich. Kröv-Bausendorf consisted of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"): Bausendorf Bengel Diefenbach Flußbach Hontheim Kinderbeuern Kinheim Kröv Reil Willwerscheid

The winery was acquired by Les Grands Chais de France (GCF) in the spring of 2024, a French conglomerate that focuses on wine and spirit sales. Subsequently, in the span of less than 2 months after the takeover, the GCF group announced the closure of the Traben-Trarbach site for what they claimed to be a "lack of profitability," ending the more than 2 centuries old winemaking history of Langguth in the region Traben-Trarbach by August 31, 2024.
