The Catalan Coastal Range (Catalan: Serralada Litoral Catalana, IPA: [sərəˈlaðə lituˈɾal kətəˈlanə]) is a system of mountain ranges running parallel to the Mediterranean Sea coast in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Mediterranean System. Its main axis runs between the Foix River and the Roses Gulf and the average altitude is around 500 m. The highest point is 763 m at the Montnegre.

Sant Esteve de Palautordera (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsant əsˈteβə ðə pəˌlawtuɾˈðeɾə]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Vallès Oriental in Catalonia, Spain. It forms part of the sub-comarca of Baix Montseny.

Dan-Air Flight 1903 was an unscheduled international passenger service from Manchester to Barcelona, operated by Dan Air Services Limited under contract with British tour operator Clarksons Holidays, which arranged for the flight to carry a group of holidaymakers who had booked an all-inclusive package holiday with the operator. On 3 July 1970, the de Havilland Comet 4 aircraft serving the flight crashed into the wooded slopes of the Serralada del Montseny near Arbúcies, in the Province of Girona of Catalonia, Spain. The crash resulted in the aircraft's destruction and the deaths of all 112 on board. It was the deadliest aviation accident in 1970, and remains the deadliest aviation accident involving the De Havilland Comet.The crash was Dan-Air's first fatal accident killing fare-paying passengers. News of the first major accident, in the company's eighteenth year of existence, came just two days after British tour operator Global Holidays had awarded it a four-year, £2.5-million contract for all Global charter flights from Birmingham, starting in April 1971.

Turó de l'Home is a mountain of Catalonia, part of the Montseny Massif. With its elevation of 1,712 m (5,617 ft) above sea level, it is the highest peak of the Montseny Massif. The top of the mountain is a triangulation station. (On the image on the right, this station can be seen on the left peak. Only due to the perspective the right peak seems higher. On the right peak some telecommunication infrastructures are installed.) A paved road leads almost up to peak until Plana Amagada, where there is plenty of parking. The last 1,500 metres of the road are closed for motorized traffic but open for cyclists and hikers. The final ascent to the triangulation station, some 50 metres above the endpoint of the road, is a step trail. The Turó de l'Home was the site of the 1959 Transair Douglas Dakota accident.

Les Agudes is a mountain of Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 1,706 metres above sea level. It is straddling the municipalities of Arbúcies in the Selva comarca and Fogars de Montclús and Montseny in the Vallès Oriental. The wooded north-east slope was crash site of Dan-Air Flight 1903, which occurred on Friday, 3 July 1970.

Vallgorguina (Catalan pronunciation: [ˌbaʎɣuɾˈɣinə]) is a municipality in the comarca of Vallès Oriental in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the hollow between the ranges of el Corredor and Montnegre. It is linked to Sant Celoni and to Arenys de Munt by a local road. The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a staging point at Vallgorguina. Stage 14 links northwards to Hortsavinyà, a distance of 17.4 kilometres (10.8 mi), whilst stage 15 links southwards to Coll de Can Bordoi, a distance of 14.3 kilometres (8.9 mi).
