Hem Heath Woods is a nature reserve of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. It is on the southern fringe of Stoke-on-Trent, England. Its northern boundary is at the A5035 road at Hem Heath; the southern boundary is adjacent to the Wedgwood visitor centre at Barlaston.

Hem Heath is a district of Stoke-on-Trent just south of the Bet365 Stadium. The nature reserve Hem Heath Woods is nearby.

Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, a.k.a. OSSMA (formerly Blurton High School) is a mixed secondary school with academy status located in the Blurton area of Stoke on Trent Staffordshire, England. The school is named after the English footballer Sir Stanley Matthews and is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust. Established in 2010, OSSMA was one of the first schools in Stoke-on-Trent to gain academy status and in January 2013 moved into a brand new building. Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy was officially opened in May 2014 by the Duke of Gloucester, KG GCVO. Since 2014, OSSMA has been oversubscribed, year on year, with applications for Year 7, making it one of the most applied-for non-selective schools in the city. In 2014, Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy won the West Midlands region, Pupil Premium Awards and was praised by then, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg on the "fantastic work" that goes on in the academy on a daily basis. Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy opens up its facilities to the community during evenings, weekends and holidays, making it "an academy that never sleeps".

Trentham () is a suburb of the city of Stoke-on-Trent in North Staffordshire, England, south-west of the city centre and south of the neighbouring town of Newcastle-under-Lyme. It is separated from the main urban area by open space and by the Trent and Mersey Canal and the River Trent, giving it the feel of a village.

The stadium was previously called the Britannia Stadium but was renamed on 1 June 2016 when the club entered into a new stadium-naming-rights agreement with its parent company, Bet365. It has a capacity of 30,089 following the completion of expansion works in 2017.The stadium was built in 1998 at a cost of £14.8 million as a replacement for the Victoria Ground. Former player Sir Stanley Matthews' ashes were buried beneath the centre circle of the pitch following his death in February 2000; he had officially opened the stadium on 30 August 1997. In European competitions it is known as the Stoke Ground due to UEFA regulations on sponsorships.

The first recorded match on the ground was in 1954, when Staffordshire played Northumberland in the grounds first Minor Counties Championship match. From 1954 to present, the ground has hosted 40 Minor Counties Championship matches and 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.A combined Minor Counties team has used the ground for 4 first-class matches, the first of which came in 1955 against the touring South Africans. The last first-class match held on the ground came in 1972 and saw the Minor Counties play the touring Australians.The ground has held List-A matches. Staffordshire have played two List-A matches at the ground against Glamorgan in the 1971 Gillette Cup and Leicestershire in the 1975 Gillette Cup. Minor Counties North played a single List-A match at the ground in the 1975 Benson and Hedges Cup against Lancashire. Minor Counties East used the ground for a single List-A match against Northamptonshire in the 1976 Benson and Hedges Cup.In local domestic cricket, Longton Cricket Club Ground is the home ground of Longton Cricket Club who play in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire League.

Blurton is a district in the south of Stoke-on-Trent, in the English county of Staffordshire. Hollybush, Old Blurton, Blurton Farm and Newstead are the names of the areas in which make up the town known as Blurton.

Trentham Gardens railway station (originally named Trentham Park) was the last station built by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) and was the terminus of the short 1 mile 14 chains (1.18 miles; 1.89 kilometres) Trentham Park branch.The line was built to serve Trentham Gardens which had recently been opened to the public as pleasure gardens.Regular passenger traffic on the branch line was withdrawn between 1927 and 1938 although excursion trains ran frequently. In 1938 a regular Sunday service was reintroduced but the outbreak of the Second World War led to the discontinuation of these services.During the war the Bankers' Clearing House – the arrangement of the clearing banks to exchange cheques – was evacuated from London to Trentham Hall and regular goods trains ran to Trentham Park to deliver supplies. Excursion trains continued throughout the war.After the war excursion trains continued, and in 1946 the station was renamed Trentham Gardens. The growth in car traffic made the branch line less economic and it closed at the end of 1957 Since closure the site of the station has been built upon and is now a housing estate.

Sideway (pronounced "Siddaway") is an area of Stoke-on-Trent, approximately one mile south west of Stoke-upon-Trent, Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire, England. It is located on the junction of the A500 and the A50 adjacent to the Bet365 Stadium. The area around the stadium was formerly a spoil tip for the Hem Heath Colliery, which closed in the mid-1990s; the stadium itself opened in 1997. The surrounding area has also been redeveloped and is home to a hotel, restaurant, health club and a number of car dealerships. Sideway is also home to a Michelin factory, a medium wave transmitter for Absolute Radio, Greatest Hits Radio Staffordshire & Cheshire and BBC Radio Stoke, and the base of Marcroft Engineering, a railway wagon repair company. It also has two lakes which are controlled by Fenton and District Angling Society.
