West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy

Grantham Town Football Club is a football club based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One East and play at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium.

Grantham Ambergate Yard railway station was first opened by the Ambergate, Nottingham, Boston and Eastern Junction Railway in 1850 between Grantham and Nottingham as its first terminus. In some literature it is referred to as "Old Wharf". However, that may have been its location adjacent to the Grantham Canal.When the Great Northern Railway arrived in 1852, the ANB&EJR acquired running rights into its station. The station closed on 1 August 1852.

Walton Academy, formerly Walton Girls' High School is a co-ed secondary school, in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It is situated in the south-west of the town near the A607 junction with the A1. The school accepts approximately 135 girls a year. In September 2019, the school saw its first boys enter in year 7, previously boys were only in the sixth form.

West Kesteven was a rural district in Lincolnshire, Parts of Kesteven, England from 1931 to 1974. It was formed under a County Review Order, by the merger of most of the Grantham Rural District, part of the Sleaford Rural District and much of the Claypole Rural District. It was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, being merged into the new South Kesteven.

The Grantham rail accident occurred on 19 September 1906. An evening Sleeping-Car and Mail train of the Great Northern Railway, running from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley hauled by Ivatt 'Atlantic' No 276 derailed, killing 14. The accident was never explained; the train ran through Grantham station, where it was scheduled to stop, and derailed on a set of points on a sharp curve at the end of the platform, which at the time had been set for a freight train. No reason was ever established as to why the train did not stop as scheduled, or obey the Caution and Danger signals.

Huntingtower Community Primary Academy (formerly Huntingtower Road Primary School) is a non-denominational, mixed primary academy in Grantham, South Kesteven, Lincolnshire. Opened in 1914, the school, located on Huntingtower Road, educates 388 pupils, aged 4 to 11. It gained academy status in 2013. The school curriculum was rated good in the 2016 Ofsted inspection.Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was a pupil at the school between 1930 and 1936, before winning a scholarship to attend the local grammar school, Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School.

Gonerby Hill Foot (previously Gonerby Hillfoot) is an area of Grantham in South Kesteven in Lincolnshire, England. It is directly to the north-west of Grantham town centre, and near the border with Great Gonerby. Gonerby Hill was said to be the steepest hill on the Great North Road from London to Edinburgh, until 1825 when the gradient was reduced by work done by Italian prisoners from Norman Cross Prison. There is a mounting block dated 1703 at Gonerby Hill Foot, one of a series erected by Edmund Boulter along roads he regularly travelled. The 1885 edition of Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire states Gonerby Hillfoot is a hamlet in Great Gonerby parish, with the alternative name of Middle Gonerby (being between Little Gonerby and Great Gonerby), and lists a maltster, a brickmaker, and a shopkeeper in the hamlet, noting also that there is a wall letterbox. In 1901, The Grantham Journal commented on the growth of Middle Gonerby compared with a decade or two earlier, when it had very few residents. An elementary school opened in 1908, a forerunner of Gonerby Hill Foot Primary School. On 1 October 1930, Gonerby Hill Foot became part of the enlarged borough of Grantham. Gonerby Hill Foot is mostly residential; small "pockets" of older terraced housing remain, but from the 1970s onwards medium density semi-detached and detached housing developments have been built, many roads being cul-de-sacs. The Vaculug commercial vehicle tyre retreading factory on Gonerby Road was established in the 1950s, shortly after the firm was founded. The grade II listed Gonerby House at Gonerby Hill Foot is Jacobean with Georgian and Victorian extensions. It was used for student accommodation by The King's School for a period until 2002 and has since been divided into several residences.

St Mary's Church or St Mary the Immaculate Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It was built in phases from 1833 to the 1960s and initially designed by E. J. Willson in the neoclassical style, and later by Gerard Goalen. It is located on the corner of North Parade and Barrowby Road to the north of the town centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

Gorse Lane is a cricket ground in Grantham, Lincolnshire. It was constructed from scratch when the London Road ground was sold to Safeway. Opened for junior cricket in 1991, the club began using the field a year later. Lincolnshire first played at the ground in the 1994 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Northumberland. The ground has held five MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1996 they played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against Cumberland. From 1996 to present, the ground has hosted 20 Minor Counties Championship matches.The ground has also held a single List-A match in the 2000 NatWest Trophy, which saw Lincolnshire play the Netherlands, a match which Lincolnshire won by 95 runs.The ground was scheduled to host its second List A match with a Royal London One Day Cup match between Nottinghamshire and Durham in the North Group on 3 May 2019 however the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent heavy rain and a wet outfield.Gorse Lane is the home ground of Grantham Cricket Club.

Westgate Hall is a commercial building in Westgate, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. The structure, which was last used as a nightclub, is a Grade II listed building.

The Eden House Hotel is a building of historical significance in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It was built as a mansion in about 1850 and for many years was called Little Gonerby House and after that Diana Lodge. It was the home of several notable people over the next century. Today it is a hotel.

Grantham railway station is on the East Coast Main Line, serving the market town of Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It is 105 miles 38 chains (169.7 km) down the line from London King's Cross and is situated on the main line between Peterborough to the south and Newark North Gate to the north. Two secondary lines diverge from the main line north of Grantham: the "Poacher Line" to Skegness and a branch line to Nottingham. Its three-letter station code is GRA.
