Finkin Street Chapel is a Grade II listed building in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1840 and was the childhood church of Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.The chapel has a lectern dedicated to Thatcher's father, Alfred Roberts, who was a local preacher there.In 2008, the congregation of the Central Methodist Church, Finkin Street joined with the congregation of St Peter's Hill United Reformed Church in Castlegate to form a local ecumenical partnership, ChristChurch Grantham. A decision was then taken in April 2011 to keep the Methodist premises on Finkin Street and sell the URC premises on Castlegate. The congregation meeting weekly in the chapel is now known as ChristChurch.

The Francis Trigge Chained Library is a chained library in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England which was founded in 1598. Located in the parvise, over the south porch of St Wulfram's Church, it has been claimed to be the first English public library.

St Wulfram's Church, Grantham, is the Anglican parish church of Grantham in Lincolnshire, England. The church is a Grade I listed building and has the second tallest spire in Lincolnshire after Louth's parish church.In his book England's Thousand Best Churches, Simon Jenkins begins his description of St Wulfram's: "Here is the finest steeple in England", and in 2020 an online contest run by poet Jay Hulme named it as the finest non-cathedral English church.The spire is the sixth highest in the country (Salisbury, Norwich and Old Coventry Cathedrals' are higher), and third highest of any parish church, after the Church of St Walburge, Preston, and St James' Church, Louth. It is the second highest of any Anglican parish church in the UK, after St James', and second highest in Lincolnshire, after St James'.In 2013 an appeal was launched to save the spire.

A statue of Margaret Thatcher stands in her birthplace, the town of Grantham in Lincolnshire, England. The statue is 10 feet 6 inches (3.2 m) high, cast in bronze, and depicts the late British prime minister Baroness Thatcher, dressed in the full ceremonial robes of the House of Lords. It stands on a 10-foot-6-inch (3.2 m) plinth. Created by sculptor Douglas Jennings, and costing £300,000, it was erected on 15 May 2022, on St Peter's Hill Green, close to the Grantham Museum. Eggs were thrown at the statue within two hours of its installation, and a week later red paint was thrown at it. It was formally unveiled on 31 May.Plans for a statue of Thatcher were announced in 2013, shortly before her death. The work by Douglas Jennings was initially intended to stand close to the Houses of Parliament, but it was rejected by Westminster City Council in 2018 when councillors said it was too soon after her death, commented about "monument saturation", and expressed fears that it would become a focus for "civil disobedience and vandalism".

St Mary's Church or St Mary the Immaculate Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It was built in phases from 1833 to the 1960s and initially designed by E. J. Willson in the neoclassical style, and later by Gerard Goalen. It is located on the corner of North Parade and Barrowby Road to the north of the town centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

The King's School is an 11–18 boys grammar school with academy status, in the market town of Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. The school's history can be traced to 1329, and was re-endowed by Richard Foxe in 1528. Located on Brook Street, the school's site has expanded over the course of its history, with some school buildings dating back to 1497. Today, King's remains an all-boys grammar school, with just over 1,000 pupils. King's and another Grantham grammar school, Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School, share teaching resources for sixth form study in certain subjects; since 2006–2007, timetables for this study have been co-ordinated between both schools.

Grantham Museum is located at St Peter's Hill, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, in the building provided for it in 1926. The building also previously housed the public library, and was partly funded by the Carnegie UK Trust which was continuing Andrew Carnegie's project of building libraries across the United Kingdom. Grantham's library is now in the Isaac Newton Centre, and the museum occupies the whole of the 1926 building. The idea for the museum can be traced back to meetings of the Grantham Scientific society in the 1890s. The basis of the collection is material provided by Henry Preston, the first Curator and Founder, and twentieth century additions included material about Sir Isaac Newton, Edith Smith, and Margaret Thatcher. There is also material about the Dambusters Raid. The museum hosts a variety of exhibitions during the year. The museum is currently managed by the Grantham Community Heritage Association (GCHA). This charity was formed in 2011 to take over the management of the museum from Lincolnshire County Council with a view to reopening the facility for the Queen's Jubilee in June 2012. In 2013, a few months before the death of Margaret Thatcher, the GCHA announced plans to raise funds to obtain a statue of the former prime minister. The statue was installed on St Peter's Hill Green, close to the museum, in 2022, on a 3.2-metre (10 ft) tall plinth to discourage vandalism.

The Grantham rail accident occurred on 19 September 1906. An evening Sleeping-Car and Mail train of the Great Northern Railway, running from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley hauled by Ivatt 'Atlantic' No 276 derailed, killing 14. The accident was never explained; the train ran through Grantham station, where it was scheduled to stop, and derailed on a set of points on a sharp curve at the end of the platform, which at the time had been set for a freight train. No reason was ever established as to why the train did not stop as scheduled, or obey the Caution and Danger signals.

Grantham House is a town house, built in 1380, which is owned by the National Trust. It is in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.The House is in Castlegate and its architectural features have been enhanced and remodelled several times over the centuries and include a 16th-century chimney stack, 17th century windows and an 18th-century staircase. The House and the Stables are both Grade I listed buildings and the Wall and Doorway for the riverside garden is Grade II* listed. It was known as 'Hall House' in the 16th century after the Hall family who owned it and important guests during this period include Cardinal Wolsey and Margaret Tudor, Queen of Scots.The house is a tenanted property and is not open to visitors.

Huntingtower Community Primary Academy (formerly Huntingtower Road Primary School) is a non-denominational, mixed primary academy in Grantham, South Kesteven, Lincolnshire. Opened in 1914, the school, located on Huntingtower Road, educates 388 pupils, aged 4 to 11. It gained academy status in 2013. The school curriculum was rated good in the 2016 Ofsted inspection.Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was a pupil at the school between 1930 and 1936, before winning a scholarship to attend the local grammar school, Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School.

Grantham railway station is on the East Coast Main Line, serving the market town of Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It is 105 miles 38 chains (169.7 km) down the line from London King's Cross and is situated on the main line between Peterborough to the south and Newark North Gate to the north. Two secondary lines diverge from the main line north of Grantham: the "Poacher Line" to Skegness and a branch line to Nottingham. Its three-letter station code is GRA.
