Le Mouret (French pronunciation: ​[lə muʁɛ]) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It was created on January 1, 2003 from the union of the former municipalities of Bonnefontaine, Essert, Montévraz, Oberried, Praroman, and Zénauva.

The municipality had 114 inhabitants in 1811, which went up and down to 191 in 1850, 160 in 1870, 226 in 1920, 175 in 1930, 213 in 1941 and 153 in 1970. In 1977 the municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Ependes.

Épendes (French: [epɑ̃d]; Arpitan: Ependes, locally Èpindè [ɛˈpɛ̃dɛ] (listen)) is a former municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. Its former German name was Spinz. In 1977, the former municipality of Sales merged into Épendes. On 1 January 2021 the former municipalities of Arconciel, Ependes and Senèdes merged to form the new municipality of Bois-d'Amont.The asteroid 129342 Ependes is named in its honour.

Its German name is Mertenlach, but this is no longer common, although still in regional use. It was formed through the 1970 merger of Marly-le-Grand and Marly-le-Petit and the 1976 addition of the former municipality of Chésalles.
