Cibola High School (CHS) is a public senior high school located in northwest Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is part of the Albuquerque Public Schools District. Due to rapid population growth on the west side of Albuquerque, Cibola was the largest high school in the state of New Mexico until 2006, and was overcrowded with over 3,200 students and 62 portable classrooms. School enrollment was reduced in 2007 with the opening of a new high school on Albuquerque’s west side. Volcano Vista High School opened in the fall of 2007. The following year, in 2008, CHS underwent a massive remodel and expansion of the school. The current enrollment stands at 2,197.

Volcano Vista High School (VVHS) is a public senior high school located on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico within the Albuquerque Public Schools District; 2014 enrollment is 2,300. The school opened in August 2007 to 9th grade students, adding 10th and 11th grades in August 2008, and 12th grade in August 2009. The first students graduated in May 2010. School colors are black, white and platinum and their mascot is the Hawks. The specific breed of hawk is cited to be a Redtail Hawk, as displayed in the school's main corridor.

Cottonwood Mall is a shopping mall located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. The mall's anchor stores are Hobby Lobby, Mor Furniture, JCPenney, Ulta Beauty, Dillard's, Regal Cinemas, Fallout Trampoline Arena, Conn's, and HomeLife Furniture. There is 1 vacant anchor store that was once Sears. The mall is the second largest mall in the state of New Mexico, after Coronado Center, with a gross leasable area of 1,041,680 square feet (96,775 m2); the mall's food court features a diorama ceiling depicting the city of Albuquerque. The mall is also a regular filming location on several productions, including Better Call Saul and Daybreak. It features over 100 stores and restaurants, as well as a Regal Cinemas (formerly United Artists) Theater. Cottonwood Mall was managed by Washington Prime Group. As of March 2022, cottonwood mall is leased and managed by court-appointed receiver “Spinoso Real Estate Group”. The mall's parking area has several dining establishments, including BJ's Restaurant & Brewery, Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Robin, Texas Roadhouse, and New Mexican cuisine restaurants like Garduños, Los Cuates, and Range Cafe. In May 2014, as part of Simon Property Group's spinoff of smaller malls, ownership of the mall was transferred to Simon spinoff Washington Prime Group, although Simon was retained as the mall's manager until early 2016. Washington Prime would later become WP Glimcher, and take over management of the mall. However in that same year WP Glimcher was renamed back to Washington Prime Group. In June 2021, Washington Prime Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. At the time, the real estate company owned 100 malls — including Cottonwood Mall. According to loan-servicer notes, Washington Prime at that point deemed Cottonwood Mall a "non- core" asset and requested the court appoint a receiver. In August 2021, Washington Prime Group indicated it would not seek to retain ownership of Cottonwood Mall, according to financial filings. Former tenants include Sega City amusement arcade, Sears which was prior a Montgomery Ward, and Macy's which was once a Foley's, and a Mervyn's. Hobby Lobby, Conn's, and Mor Furniture have since replaced Macy's and Mervyns. Sega City was converted into a second story for Regal Cinemas.

Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) is a public tribal land-grant community college in unincorporated Bernalillo County, New Mexico, with an Albuquerque postal address. It is federally operated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and funded through the Bureau of Indian Education, both agencies within the United States Department of the Interior. More than 120 different Indian Tribes are represented in SIPI's student body.

La Luz del Oeste is a planned community on the West Side of Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is notable for its architecture and urban planning as an example of the New towns movement of the mid-20th century. The development consists of 96 townhouses along with shared community spaces and 40 acres (16 ha) of land which was left undeveloped as a viewshed toward the Rio Grande bosque and Sandia Mountains. It was designed by architect Antoine Predock in his first major commission and built between 1967 and 1974. The property was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1977 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.The residential units of La Luz are arranged in terraced rows facing east toward the river. Vehicle and pedestrian routes are kept separate with a series of loop roads providing access to garages and parking areas at the rear of the units, while pedestrian access is from the front via landscaped paths and courtyards. The architecture of the development combined modernism with influences from the environmental movement and traditional Pueblo architecture in its organization of public and private spaces, use of efficient materials such as adobe, and conservation of the surrounding landscape.

The Rio Grande Foundation is a free market economic policy think tank and taxpayer watchdog group based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is affiliated with the U.S. nationwide State Policy Network. It was founded in 2000 by Hal Stratton, a former state representative and Attorney General of New Mexico, and Harry Messenheimer, an economist then at George Mason University. Paul Gessing became president in 2006. The group is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

The Robert Dietz Farmhouse is a historic house in the North Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was originally a one-story farmhouse built in 1914 by Robert Dietz, a native of Syracuse, New York, who moved to Albuquerque in 1910 like many others seeking treatment for tuberculosis. A second story was added in 1928, turning the building into a "grand home". The Dietz family lived and farmed there until the 1940s. It was listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The Dietz house is a two-story stuccoed frame building aligned along a north–south axis. The house design is a vernacular adaptation of Prairie School architecture, with a low, overhanging hip roof, and sash windows arranged in bands surrounded by wooden trim to "create an impression of horizontality". The house has over 100 windows in total. A stable on the property is also included in the National Register listing.

Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, known locally simply as "Los Ranchos" or "The Village," is a village in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The population was 6,024 at the time of the 2010 Census.

The Adrian Barela House is a historic house in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built around 1900, probably by Adrian Barela and his wife Jesusita Tenorio, who lived there until the early 1930s. The building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located on the same block as another historic property, the Refugio Gomez House. The house is an example of New Mexico vernacular architecture, with stuccoed adobe walls and simple wooden trim. The roof was originally flat but was replaced with a pitched roof with intersecting gables soon after the house was built. The gables are decorated with diamond-shaped wooden shingles and diamond-shaped windows. The house was originally L-shaped, but is now rectangular after a kitchen was added in the mid-20th century. It has original 1-over-1 wood-framed sash windows and an off-center front entrance.

The Refugio Gomez House is a historic house in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built around 1875 and was probably purchased by Refugio Gomez in 1911. In 1942, the house was bought by Mela Sedillo Koeber, who built an addition containing a kitchen and bathroom. The building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located on the same block as another historic property, the Adrian Barela House. The house is an example of Territorial architecture. It has irregular adobe walls, which are 18 to 24 inches (46 to 61 cm) thick, and simple wooden door and window trim. The original section of the house is at the front, while two additions at the rear date to the 1890s and 1942–43, respectively. A much larger addition was constructed on the south side around 2012. The interior of the house features original wooden floorboards, vigas, and corner fireplaces. The historic nomination also includes an adobe chicken coop on the property which has been converted into a small house.

St. Pius X High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was established in 1956. It is administered in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The school is located on Albuquerque's west side, on the campus that was formerly the location of the University of Albuquerque. St. Pius X is a co-educational institution that serves over 900 students in grades nine through twelve.
